William Paddock War of 1812
I am doing research on an Officer's Commission given to William Paddock on June 30, 1813. He is appointed to the rank of Surgeon's Mate in the 30th Regiment of Infantry, United States Army, with orders to join the regiment at Burlington (Vermont).
William Paddock is listed on the US Army Register of enlistments as having enlisted on June 29, 1813. His rank is given as Surgeon's Mate and that he was assigned to the 30th (or 31st) Regiment of Infantry, USA. No age, place of birth or personal description is given. He appears on Muster Rolls from June 30 to November 30, 1813 as present for duty, orders dated Plattsburgh July 15, 1814 and his name appears on Muster Rolls of July 28, 1814. He resigned his commission on September 29, 1814.
Does anyone have any information on this William Paddock
