My Grandmother's Name was Francisca Pagan, she later married Burgos, but she was born in 1930 in Ciales. My Great grandmother was Ramona ( Ramonita) Santiago and she married Emilio Pagan.
Do any of those names sound familiar to you ?

Hi,

My name is Drucila Negron. I was researching the name Serafin Pagan, and found you message dated July, 2007. It seems that we are both in the same tract. Serafin Pagan Otero, was married to Cristina Negron Martinez, Cristina's brother, Juan del C. Negron Martinez, was my grandfather (my father's father). According to the information I had found Pedro's date of birth was around 1852, and his marrige, could be dated between 1870 to 1876.
I am also related to the Oteros from Morovis through my father's mother. Although I don't know if they are the same Oteros. I am searching the following last names Negron, Otero, Cortes, Martinez..., if you have any information let me know, please. I'll keep you posted regarding anything I can find about Pedro's family.

Cristina Negron Martinez, my grandfather's sister, Juan del C. Negron Martinez. He was my father's father. I am also related to the Oteros from Morovis through my father's mother. I would like to learn more about my grandmother, Natalia Santiago. She was born in Yauco, Puerto Rico in 1885. She died in California in 1934. I was fortunate enough to find her marriage license to Jose Domingo Pagan, which stated that her parents were Laudiano and Carmin Santiago, both from Puerto Rico. If anyone has Santiago family from this area of Puerto Rico, I would love to see if there is any connection.

My grandpa, Jose or Joseph Domingo Pagan was born in Yauco, Puerto Rico in May 1878 and died in San Jose in 1971. He was married to Natalia Santiago, who was born in March 1887 and died in 1934. Natalia was also born in Yauco, Puerto Rico.
They had 11 children: Juanita (died at birth), Manuel, Gumerzindo, Jose, Sara, Rebecca, Rachel, Jacobed, Leah, Natanel, and Jonathan (my father).

I am trying to trace their roots back to Puerto Rico. One of the children (Leah) says that Jose or Natalia's parents may be from the Basque region of Spain.

I am stuck , my grandmother is Guadalupe Pagan and she was Born in Ponce PR around 1897 0r 1900 . I dont have any info on who her parents where , I do know she maiired a man with the last name of Martinez who was not a good man so she was sent to NY . I do have one josephine Martinez her Daughtr . I dont know when she was born . she also has children with the names of Santiago , Torres , Castro , Colon. I hope some one out there can help , I have been looking for a long time . I do know she passed away around 1955 0r 1957 in Broolkyn NY . the last man she was with was Ramon Maldonado Colon. He died in 1961. Im amazed how far the Pagan's appear to have travelled. I was under the impression they only went as far as Australia, but it seems im completely wrong. Its my husband's family name and ive been doing a family trace for nearly a year now on 'Genes Reunited'and have found various links.
The connections i have found so far are they came from Dumfries in Scotland. Some family members then travelled down to Liverpool UK, and some further down into the Midlands. Also some took a ship in the 1800's and went to Australia or New Zealand.
I shall be happy to share any info i have with you as you may be another missing link .... you will probably find this as exciting as i do, so please get in touch. Bye for now Wendy

Amazing..we could be related. My husband's family came from Dumfries in Scotland and we are next yyear going up to visit Maxwelltown in Dumfries & Galloway hoping to locate many of the Pagan family who resided there and also in connecting towns.
Have you joined 'Genes Reunited' as my family tree is on there and also a lot of Pagan family members connected are on there too.
I wish I could see your tree to find a connection - there must be one.
Do you have access to any of the historic websites for Dumfries or Fife, as you will find some Pagans mentioned there from around the 1800's or slightly before.

Do you have access to the registrars of births, deaths & marriages?
If there is a government website for historic births, deaths & marriages in Puerto Rico, you may be able to insert the family name and browse in their records for 1836. If not, you may have to try the Spanish website.
Im not sure in our family history that there is anyone with that christian name, but as some family members went to Australia, NZ & USA, there is a possiblilty of them ending up in Puerto Rico. I do know that Members of the Pagan family originally from Dumfries in Scotland that entered the church and became members of the 'cloth' where they could have been sent to Puerto Rico to work - maybe marrying there and having children where they combined surnames?
I will carry on searching from UK and if i find a link, i will come back to you.

Great grandfather: Clodomiro Pagan Vientos, wife Eulogia Gonzalez Segarra. They had about 7 or 9 children. Most of them dead.

My maiden name was Pagon (name changed from Pagan in the 19th century). I can trace my Pagan ancestors back to a Harbott Pagan on the Eastern Shore of Maryland; born circa 1744. I do not know anything more of him before that. Can your book enlighten me on any migrations from Scotland or elsewhere to the Eastern Shore of Maryland in the 17th or 18th cent.? Or perhaps Harbott is related to the family in Virginia in the early 17th cent. you mention.
Any thoughts would be msot appreciated.

My maiden name was 'Pagon' (name changed from Pagan at some point); I have information on my branch of the family back to 1744 on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, USA. My first ancestor there was Harbott Pagan. I am trying to find where he came from; perhaps Scotland. Does anyone have any information on Pagans leaving Scotland for the USA in the late 1600's or early 1700's???

My gggggg-grandfather was Andrew Pegan who lived and died in Marlick Township, Lancaster County, PA USA, around the time of the American Revolutionary War. He was a Yeoman, a John-Knox Presbyterian, and likely Scots-Irish, but I have no record of his heritage.

I do have his Last Will and Testament dated 9Sep1788 wherein he identifies his daughter, Mary who married John Downing. Mary & John are buried in Chester County SC, USA. Grandfather Andrew died before 13Jan1789 when the Will was filed for Probate.

Could it be that he connects to your relations in the UK???

My husband's family comes from the Dumfries, Scotland origin through the Carter Pagan branch. I was wondering if you have any information specific to Carter Pagan, such as where he might be buried, etc. We found lots of info on the other siblings and their descendants but not for Carter.
