When my wife's grandmother, Calogera Oliveri, was married on Jan 15 1915 in Baton Rouge, La, her parents were listed as Luca Oliveri and Maria Palermo.

Calogera was born on Oct 30 1895 in Paulina, St. James, La. Luca Oliveri and Maria Palermo also had a son, Joseph, who was born on Feb 26 1899. Joseph and his descendants later changed the name to Levraea, but it is pronounced Le-ver-a.

Luca Oliveri married a second time, to Guisseppa Priola, on Feb 23, 1904 in Baton Rouge, La, so I assume Maria Palermo died some time prior to this date.

I cannot find any information on Maria Palermo. If anyone has info on Palermo's in La, please contact me.
