hi lorida. checked your family tree to see how far you had gotten. check out u.s. census 1910. you'll find the names of both of our grandmothers. our great grandfather was from ures sonora mexico. i believe that was his birthplace, although i'm not positive. i have a friend who has visited the town of ures and said there are many romos residing there. i hope this helps.

hi lorida. This is your cousin annie. Also trying to find info on grandparents on both sides of the family. I found information showing my grandmother and your grandmothers names on a 1910 us census. Share any info you have.

Kathy, Saw your post to Desiree's post. Mark and I had a son together in 1977 before he married and had Greg and Desiree. Yes Phil is Marks brother. Ryan is also trying to find his dad Mark. Last I knew in the mid 90's Phil was still living in Vallejo and working at Fry's food in the produce department. Ryan has diabetes really bad and has been in intensive care usually on a monthly basis and often in a diabetic coma. Drs dont know why he has been able to pull out of it when his blood sugars have gone up to 1500! He would desperately like to see his dad again. He is 31 yrs old now. Desiree: I don't know if you remember your older brother Ryan, Mark and I had him in 1977. Ryan lived with him for a while after your mom and dad split up. He was living in Vallejo at the time. Then he married a woman named JoEllen. They later divorced. Your dad was working for a grocery store in Martinez the last I talked to him, still working as a meat cutter. Have you tried to find out anything from your uncle Phil Palomo who I think still lives in Vallejo and I think his wife's name is Vicki. If you do find him will you let me know? Ryan has been trying to get ahold of him again and has not been successful. Hope you and Greg are doing okay.

I wish I could help you, but we've Lost a Phil Palomo from Vallejo, CA also. I don't remember if he had a brother named Mark, but seems like he did. It's been a long time - 1978, since I've seen Phil. He was a karate instructor. My ex-husband trained under him and my son (who is also a black belt) is trying to find Phil.
So, if you find your Dad and he has a brother named Phil (in karate), could you please remember me? Thanks, and good luck. (ex husbands name is John Reiner) Phil will know him.

I am also looking for my birth father and was struck by the similarities in your posts. My birth father's name also was Joseph Henry Palomo. He was married to my mother in the early 1960s and we lived in the Bronx, NY. I have an older brother who also was born to Joseph Henry Palomo. I don't know the month my birth father was born, but from my birth certificate, he was 24 when I was born so he must have been born around 1939. My birth certificate also notes that he was born in Jersey City, New Jersey (I know you mention the person you are looking for was born in New York). My understanding is that he was Italian. I know his father's name was Henry and he had a brother named Leo. I believe his mother's name was Mary. We lost track of him after he and my mom divorced in the 1960s and we moved to California. I believe his father died in an accident in the 1960s.

Since your last post is 3 years old, I am wondering whether you have found any additional information on the Joseph Henry Palomo you are searching for -- because of the similarities, it struck me that we could be looking for the same person.

my father also was born in mexico he was raised in Pinos Zacatecas, my grandparents too .
he and my mother migrated to the texas valley, weslaco donna, edinburg,...... in the early 50'

We are Hispanic. My dad is from Chile and none of his brothers were named Joseph or Henry, neither in English or Spanish. Sorry I can't help. I hope you are able to find him.
