3/1/2008 - Edward D. Paluch II of Lord Street, Dunkirk, NY died Thursday evening (February 28, 2008) at his residence.

He was 46 years of age, born in Dunkirk on May 2, 1961, the son of the late Edward D. and Alice C. (Majecki) Paluch.

A resident of Dunkirk for most of his life, Mr. Paluch was an employee of the Carriage House. He was an avid NASCAR fan and a member of St. Hedwig’s Church, the Kosciuszko Polish Home, the Polish Literary &Assembly Rooms (Dom Polski), the Moniuszko Club and the First Ward Falcon Club.

Surviving are his wife, Rachael (Germaine) Paluch; his sons, Edward D. (Kellie) Paluch III of Dunkirk, Justin &Jason Paluch, both of Indiana; his daughter, Melissa Paluch of Dunkirk; two brothers, Daniel E. Paluch and Richard W. (Cindy) Paluch, and his sister, Barbara (Ronald) Szwejbka, all of Dunkirk; two grandchildren, Alexander and Addison Paluch; and four nieces.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his niece, Jamie Lynn Greene.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 9:15 from the Newman Funeral Home Inc., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 o’clock in St. Hedwig’s Church. Private interment will be in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Monday.
