Mario 'Pat' Palantonio b4 Sep 1922 New York, d5 Dec 1967 in Los Angeles, CA & is buried in Los Angeles National Cemetery. He was an upholsterer and his parents were Nicola Paolantonio from Cilitri, Avellino, Campania, Italia and wife, Angela (or Angelina) Maria Cicoira from perhaps Czechoslovakia. The originally were in the Queens or Kings area of New York City where he was a restaurant worker. Mario was in the Navy during WWII and perhaps that is how he ended up the CA where he met and married my aunt Pearl Iona Scruggs, b1 Mar 1922 Los Angeles, CA, d8 October 1991 Nuevo, Riverside, CA. He was the love of her life. His father's citizenship was naturalized in 1926 in NY, from their 1921 Notice of Intent. They arrived in NY in 1920. The children were for some time in the Angel Guardian Home in New York while their mother was hospitalized at the Brookly State Hospital. I think she was deported back to Czeckoslovakia rather than given citzenship due to emotional problems. Would like to find out any other information on the family that someone might be willing to share.
