Hello,
Just wanted to let you know we have a long line of Pappa family in CT dating back to 1940s. My father used to speak of the relatives in Canada. Just wanted to know if you would be interested in some of our family history. When ever I find other Pappas in other states I am able to link them to our family in CT
Please write me and let me know.
Thanks!
Michael J. Pappa

Jennifer,
I was reading your query on Mary Pappa. I am sure that she is a sister to Frank Pappa who married Wictoria Bintz. This family moved to Oswego Co. NY. I am working on the Bintz line no relation to Pappa family. I will be glad to share what I have found out.
Robbie

Rosalyn,
All I can tell you is in the 1920 census only their children are living with Frank and Victoria. I did just receive a letter from a lady who just found John Bintz and Christina Tiss's tombstones. They would be parents to Victoria. On the back of the stones is the name John Pappa 1900-1900 this would be a son of Frank and Victoria. Also two other children Victoria Decker 1882-1906 and Alice Decker 1886 or 96 - 1896. Not my family unless one of my greatgrandfather's brothers married another Bintz sister. Is possible as they stayed in NY and I haven't figured who they married yet. Will let you know if I find more. You can email me at decker@ncn.net.
Robbie

Jennifer, we both may be barking up the wrong tree, but I can send by mail all the info I have on my family tree and mabe
you can pull something out of it. My grandfather was Edward James, son of Peter A., son of William Susan Pappa.
It originally was Papien and changed along the way to Pappa. I have a distant cousin living in Watertown NY who is a decendant of Daniel Pappa born in 1820 in Bath, Ontario Canada. She has given me some of the information that I have.
I have not been in touch with her for about five years. She may be able to help you.
Jennifer, we both may be barking up the wrong tree, but I can send by mail all the info I have on my family tree and mabe
you can pull something out of it.
Robbie:

I have been informed Mary Pappa had a brother Frank. Frank and his wife took care of Mary's two or three youngest children when she passed away. I have also been informed she had a sister Elizabeth and another brother named Peter. I don't know if this information is accurate nor if it is along your line. Any information would be appreciated.

Rosalyn

Jennifer:

Thank you for your reply. Mary Pappa born 1860. Married Frank Lavallee born about 1858. Their children were:

Catherine
Francois Xavier
Mary Ann
Elizabeth
Margaret
Mollie?

Elizabeth, Margaret and Mollie were put up for adoption. Mary Ann I am not sure of, she could have married young. I believe Mart is related to Peter Pappa (m. Catherine Lavallee)and to Joseph Pappa (Peters father), but I am not sure of the connection.

If you discover any connections I would appreciate it if you could let me know.

Thanks again
Rosalyn

Good Day:

I am searching for information on a Mary Pappa. She was married to a Frank (Francois Lavalley), but she passed away at a very young age. They had six children. Frank put the youngest four up for adoption when Mary passed away. They are from the hastings (Canada) area, but not originally. I believe she was born around 1860. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have any information concerning Mary's parents? Her children's names?

I have a Mary Pappa in my database born 1860 to Medor Pappa and Delia Servain. They lived at one time in Prescott, Ontario, Canada. I don't have any marriage information on her though.

Jennifer Siemens

I am researching the descendants of Antoine Pappa b.ca. 1804 and his wife Jane Reine b. ca. 1799. They had two sons Joseph and William Pappa. I know Antoine was born in Quebec but am not sure where outside of Canada Antoine is from but I believe Jane was born in Ireland. They emigrated from. They settled in Lanark County, Ontario, Canada. I would love to share information.
