I am descended from Henry Harrison Parker - he is my 4th great-grandfather. He married Lucia Strickland. His daughter, Hulda Parker, married Peter Shellenbarger, who was my 3nd great-grandfather.
Recent DNA testing via 23andme.com showed that both my mother and I have a small percentage of Native American DNA, which confirmed a family rumor. We know for sure the Native American comes from my grandfather, Lynn Richards, but we don't know if it came down his father's (Arthur Richards) line or his mother's (Clara Shellenbarger) line.
Due to the small % in my DNA, it's someone who is about 5 or 6 generations from me. I looked at all the ancestors in those generations and for the most part their Census records list them as "white." So I hit a dead end there.
I am wondering if any descendants of Henry Harrison Parker have discovered any Native American ancestry?
