My Great grandfather was William Parkes born c1877 at or near Tipton West Bromwich.
I have him on the 1881 census for Tipton aged 4 living at Eagle Passage with his family.
I also have him on the 1891 Census for Greets Green West Bromwich living at 63 Cophall street aged 14, Still with his family. Funnily enough I have a Florence M Parkes living at 94 Cophall street in 2008!!! Is this a coincidence? My Great Aunt was also Florence M Parkes Born 1908 in Portsmouth.
Williams father(my GG Grandfather) was Thomas Parkes b1849 a Coal Miner.
I have Thomas on the 1871 Census for Wednesbury West Bromwich living at Cape Street with his Mother(Mary) and Brother(Abraham). A few doors down is a Mary Parkes aged 75 Head and a lodger Solomon Parkes aged 27. Are the two Parkes families related?
I have Thomas on the 1861 at West Bromwich living with Father Joseph aged 50 and Mother Mary aged 49 and various siblings.
I also have Thomas on the 1851 Census for West Bromwich Grant? or Great? village aged 2.

The reason I give so much info is to make sure that anyone who replies has the right Parkes family. Anyone who has researched Parkes will know that there are many Parkes families around that area at that time.

Regards,
Steve Goff.
If anyone has any Information for this Parkes family previous to this I would be extreemly grateful
