Gideon Parkman and William R. Leach purchased 75 acres in Palmyra, Somerset, Maine from the estate of Dr. John Warren, brother of General Dr. Joseph Warren from the Rev War, and father of Dr. John C. Warren in 1820. William Leach/Leech is in my direct line and was born in 1800 in Minot, Maine but I do not know what the relationship is to Gideon Parkman.

My guess is that William's brother, Dr. Jeremiah Leech, perhaps knew these famous Boston physicians.

Other names mentioned on the deed are (Gen.) Arnold Welles, executor, Sam'l Paine, Joseph Warren, Henry Warren and JP Bradbury.
