Classification: Query
Surnames: Parr, Watson, Kinnett, Bell, McMichael, King
After many, many hours of research, I believe I have found evidence that could determine the parents and siblings of William Henry Parr who married Anna Elizabeth Watson.

Summary of my thoughts – more complete information follows.

These are only my beliefs and assumptions at this point.

William L Parr m. Sarah ? sometime before about 1843. The lived in Cobb County, Georgia in 1850 w/ children Mary, Sarah Jane, and William.

By 1860, they had moved to Campbell County, Georgia. The family was bigger with the above children plus Leno, Jasper, Amanda, and Sleaton (Seleta?).

Shortly thereafter, they had relocated to the Gwinnett County area. William L Parr joined the Co. B, 42nd Regiment of the Georgia Infantry in 1862 in Gwinnett County. He died that same year in Atlanta, Georgia of disease.

In the 1860’s the children began marrying.
William m. Elizabeth Watson in Henry County.
Sarah Jane m. George Kinnett in Newton County.

Sometime in the 1860’s, Sarah and the children relocated to the Henry and Newton County area.

In 1870, Sarah and all of the children (except Mary) are in the Newton and Henry Counties.
Also in the 1870’s, Jasper and Leno marry.
Leno m. Emma King in Henry County.
Jasper m. Carrie McMichaels in Jasper County.

In 1880, Sarah is living with Jane and George Kinnett in Henry County. All of the children are living in Henry County, except for Leno who is in Rockdale County.

Sometime in the early 1880’s, William moves his family to Chilton County Alabama.

In 1900, Sarah and Jasper have both passed away.

William and his family have moved to Ringgold, Montague County, Texas by 1900. I believe they worked for and followed the railroad.

The other children – Leno, Amanda, and Jane – along with their families remained in the Rockdale, Newton, and Henry County areas. Most of them lived in the Honey Creek area of Rockdale County. Jasper's widow and family lived in Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia.

Today, there is a Parr Road just off of Honey Creek Road in Rockdale County near the Rockdale/Newton County line. Approximately 3 miles SE of Parr Rd is Kinnett Road with lies in both Rockdale and Newton Counties. About another 10 miles SE of Kinnett Rd, is Parr Farm Road in Newton County just 2 miles from the Newton/Henry County lines. It is my belief that this is the general location that the families lived in from 1870-1900’s.

I have included an outline of my information below for anyone who might be interested. Any further information would be greatly appreciated.
