Dear Michelle,
Unfortunatly i do not have much information about my Parr Ancestory at present as my genelogy research was put on hold for a time. Back on track i can know start to commit to my Parr bloodlines. My Grandfather Arthur Parr was born in 1921 Nottingham. Arthur had six brothers ref: tribal pages link - the password is may. Arthurs Father was John Parr, known as Jack. Jack is somewhat off a mystery to me at present? He was unmarried to my Great Grandmother May Hudspeth, although lived with her as a committed partner. He had a previous marriage ? and from this marriage he had a daughter called Annie. Annie lived in Sutton in Ashfield Nottingham and was murderd? Another family mystery? I intend to contact the libary with refence to newspaper articles as this may leed to John's birth certificate? Annies mother visited May and family and they were quite close? John Parr is somewhat of a dark horse? He raced Greyhounds and was apparently a very clever man. His origins i do not believe are from Nottingham, time will tell?
I will keep you informed of any further developments. There are not that many Parr's in the Nottingham Area? Take a look at the pictures, see what you think??
Regards, Liz.
