Dear Karen, I have recently started tracing my family history on my Grandfathers side and noted your message.
My Grandfathers name was Arthur Parr born 1921 Nottingham. He had six brothers, John George 1911, William 1913, Alfred 1915, Frank 1918, Eric 1925, Edward 1927. Some off the boys last names were Hudspeth, Parr Hudspeth and Parr. I am sure my ancestors thought it would be fun to create a challenge??
Their mothers name was May (Mary?) Hudspeth of Bestwoods Women's Fellowship, I believe she was born around 1892?
Their father was John George Parr, i refer to him as Senior and i have a feeling he originated from Newcastle although at present it is only verbal verification?
John George Parr had a previous marriage and had a daughter named Annie, unfortunatly she was murdered about 1955?
I am local to Nottingham and will be visiting in a couple off weeks, if there are any images you require don't hesitate.
