Sabine Parish LA

Jean Baptiste Parrot is listed as one of the first immigrants in 1805 living in Sabine Parish LA on the Rio Hondo lands. (History of Sabine Parish published in 1912) I am looking for researchers who have knowledge of this family line from Sabine Parish. I am researching the Tyler family who lived in Sabine Parish. According to my cousin, a gentleman named Parrot knew much about the history of the parish and also about the Tyler family. We both have been trying to locate him or someone who has his information to learn more about our Tyler family line. Any information or suggestions would be appreciated.

Jim

Some of this family moved to Slough (formerly called Upton cum Chalvey) which was originally in Buckinghamshire and there name seems to have changed to Purrett.
Good Afternoon. I am looking for information about my gr-gr-gr-grandfather Francis Parrot born in Halifax abour 1800. We don't know the exact year. He married Mary Hewitt in 1814 and after she died he married Jane Hutt in 1828. I know nothing about his parents except that his family may have immigrated to Nova Scotia from France or Ireland. Francis Parrot was a Journeyman Cooper in Halifax. He has also spelled his last name as Parrett, Parrot, Perrot. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Benjamin Parret born 1859 in Indiana. I believe he is the B.S. Parret who married Mary Ann Welsh in Dunklin Co. Missouri in 1881. He shows as Benjamin Parrit in the 1880 Dunklin Co. Missouri Census with his sister Margaret and a nephew Monroe H. Harris. I would love to hear from any descendents of any of these people. I believe Benjamin and Margaret are the brother and sister of my elusive Ggrandmother Mary Ellender Parret Holt born 1851 Spencer Co. Indiana. I have info to share on the mother of Benjamin, Margaret and Mary Ellender

Hello, My wife Andrea Parrot is a desc. of this line. I have extensive data on two lines, one is ours with my wife's gggf Jean Pierre Parrot who emigrated to Fort Wayne, IN in the 1840's. His brother Louis emigrated about the same time to Ohio. I have his desc info as well. Another line [I don't have the specific connection to our line] emigrated to Quebec, CANADA about 1850. I have their info as well.
I show one Bohin marriage, but no Thourot's.

There is one famous Parrot from Audinc., an astronomer and scientist from the late 1700's and early 1800's. There is a crater on the moon named for him. It's in the midline just below the equator.
So, I'm sure we are connected but I can't document the specific relative. The records of Montbeliard district are on microfilm in wonderful penmanship. good luck.
Steve

Happy Hunting. The audincourt records are available from the LDS church. They are easy to translate since the lists are either birth, marriage, or death. Time consuming but interesting. Another name common there is Curie. The quebec parrots have a connection to marie curies father, so I believe she or her ancestors were from audincourt as well.

I am not sure of the exact spelling of Parrot. My husbands Gran is very keen to find out more about her descendants. We are looking for a family of PARROT, they were well off, he was a gentleman who lived by his own means in a large house with wrought iron gates in Balham, London, his family came from the North Of England, possibly Yorkshire. He married a spanish lady called Mary Eleanor. He died first and she then went on to live in Southampton, England and marry a man called BASTIN. Does this ring bells with anyone?
