I am trying to locate descendants of the Parson(s) family that were in the Louisville, KY area in the 1930's.

The obituary of Mrs. Ellen Clark (nee Hall) lists that she died at the residence of her granddaughter, Mrs. G. W. Kinberger at 111 Stoll (Ave).

I do not know what this granddaughter's name was. Also listed in the survivors was a Mrs. Ora Parson (or Parsons) as a daughter of Ellen - so I don't know at this point if this is a mother or an aunt of the woman that married the Kinberger.

Ellen Clark (nee Hall) died in 1936. She was a daughter of James C. Hall and Phoebe Ann Elzy. I am researching the Elzy family and trying to get more complete information on the Elzy descendants, as well as connect with the more recent generations.

Nice to communicate with another person looking into a "Parsons" family tree. As far as I got with my research, my Parsons ancestors go back to New Foundland. My great grandfather, William, was born in 1874 in Burin, N.F. who relocated to Boston in 1900. (note: he had a daughter named Francis born in 1912).I do not know where Bay Roberts or Harbor Grace is located, if they are in New Foundland there may be a possibility of the Parsons being related.

Good morning!

I am the grandaughter of Evelyn Alice (Parsons) Robbins, who had a sibling Francis born in 1912. Evelyn was one of 11 siblings. She recently passed in September 2008; she was the last surving sibling. My mother, Evelyn Alice (Robbins) Johnson told me recently that there was a fire and records were destroyed. It appears that there is a connection???

I have found information that William H. Parsons born in 1874 was buried in Woodlawn Cemetary, 302 Elm Street, Everett, Massachusetts. He was buried in grave site 444 section 2. How do we go about determining if this was indeed our grandfather? I believe my mother has my grandmother's birth certificate and death certificate? Would we be able to obtain further information from this?

I, personally, live in New Hampshire; so, I may be able to continue researching this, but I would need direction.

Charles D. Bonnett of Raymond City/Poca West Virginia died 27 July 2009 at his home. He was 81. He loved the river and Putnam County/West Virginia History. Charles wrote a book about coal mining mostly about the Raymond City Coal and Transportation Company.
Charles collected stories and genealogy about the area and most of this information is available to anyone who desires.

James Millard Bonnett was my grandfather. His wife Lillian was the daughter of John Riley Young. Martha (Mattie) Parsons was the daughter of Travis Parsons (1844 ,Jackson, VA) and Rebecca Brock ( 1844 ,Pocahontas, VA).
I have a large number of this family's connections-- children, spouses, etc. Rebecca went by the name SARAH and that caused me considerable confusion.

WAPELLO, Iowa - Jack Erwin Parsons, 75, Wapello, died Thursday, July 28, 2005, at his home.

Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, July 31, Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home, Wapello. The Rev. Scott Smith will officiate the services. Burial will be at Mallory Cemetery, rural Wapello.

Mr. Parsons was born Aug. 16, 1929, in Wapello, the son of Dean and Ava Erwin Parsons. He married Patricia Clark on Aug. 23, 1947, in Columbus Junction.

He graduated from Wapello High School in 1947.

He was an outstanding farmer all his life. He felt that one of his most important accomplishments was bringing ethanol into the market place. While serving as 1982-83 National Corn Growers Association President, he helped to establish a long-term grain agreement with Russia. In 2004, he was awarded the Meritorious Service Award from the National Corn Growers Association. Only one of these awards has been given out.
He was an avid hunter. During his lifetime he has contributed greatly to the local area geese population due to his conservation methods. He was affiliated with the Methodist Church, Izaak Walton, Ducks Unlimited, The Elks, Pheasants Forever, National Corn Growers Association, National Soybean Growers Association, Louisa County Corn Growers Association, a founding member of the Louisa County Soybean Growers Association and the Farm Bureau.

Survivors include his wife; three children, Gary Parsons and wife Bev and twins, David Parsons and wife Marla and Diane Vineyard and husband Ed, all of Wapello; seven grandchildren, Todd Parsons, Troy Parsons, Kristen Parsons, Trent Parsons, Tanya Patzner, Elizabeth Vineyard and Valerie Vineyard; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Merrit.

I have a Francis Parsons I am looking into. He married a Susanna Snow in 1908. I believe he was C of E and he was born in Bay Roberts or Harbour Grace in 1882. I would like to find his brothers and/or sisters and parents names to try to build the tree. I think the records were burnt in a fire thats why we cannot find anything

No, this would not be the Francis I am looking into, because his first child was born in 1908. The Francis I am looking into was born abt 1882 or 1883. I actually found a Francis born in 1883 about 5 miles North of where he grew up, so it is very promising. But I still have to link him to us. If anyone has information on his siblings, or parents, it would be great.
I am trying to find his obituary to link these names to him, but as you know, its not as easy as it sounds.

My great grandmother's birth certificate for Sept 20, 1865 is registered at Cuckfield Union in the sub-district of Cuckfield. Her parents were Ambrose Parsons, born Feb 10, 1843 and wife Eleanor.

Any info would be appreciated.

I have started going through some family material after a lengthy time off from doing anything with it. I share the same family, but I was wondering if you could clear up some differences I have. For example, Eleanor's maiden name on my great great grandmother's birth certificate is Tamer, not Tanner. All other info you have is pretty much the same as what I have.

Do you have some pictures of various family? I have a few only.

I would like to talk to you more about other family members who did not come over to Saskatchewan or those who returned, such as Lily (Parsons) Selby and her husband who only stayed about 4 years.

I have just started looking back at various pieces of info I have on my research on the Parsons from Bolney. Ambrose and Eleanor were my great-great grandparents. I have a question though. In the family Bible I have, the dates for Peter and Elizabeth's births are different from those you have. My source says Peter was born Oct 5, 1827 and Elizabeth was born April 29, 1825. The date for Richard Parsons' birth was Feb 8, 1845. Also, on my great-great grandmother's birth certificate, it has her mother, Eleanor's maiden name, as Tamer not Tanner.

Looking forward to hearing from you. I can give you more info from my end if you are interested. I would like to know more about those from your side as I have a photo of people I think are relatives, but unfortunately, on the back is only written uncle and aunt,

Hi everyone! Greetings from Melbourne Australia!

I've recently started tracing my family tree and have hit a double brick wall! I'm hoping someone can please help with my 2 look-ups:

1. The marriage of CHARLOTTE PARSONS to PHILIP SMITH (a sailor) presumably in Essex, UK, approximate date, 1856 - 1861. Most likely starting place would be Southend, Essex, where their son was born (see below).

2. The birth of their son HARRY SMITH in Southend, Essex, about 1860 - 1861. (There is possibly a younger son, also Philip, born of the same parents).

I've looked everywhere I can think of, to no avail. I also can't find them on any censuses, although Harry immigrated to Australia without his parents in the 1870's.

I'd be so grateful if anyone can help with any of this, as I'm really stuck with it!

While researching my PURDY line from Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada, I came across the names listed in the attachment on the back of a page that appears to possibly be from a family bible that listed the names and birth information for Jane (PURDY) DUDNE and her family. I am trying to determine how they connect?

---Jane's husband, Capt. William DUDNE, was from Deptford, Kent, England, so they may be his people.
---Jane's mother, Jane's surname is yet unknown, so possibly hers?
---Jane's father, Samuel, has been my brick wall. I can not seem to find out who his parents were or who he came to Canada with as a Loyalist. Other researchers with 30+ years experience have also been unable to determine his parentage. Do these PARSON'S have a connection to him?
