I am seeking information on my great-grandmother, Nancy Arminda Partain Luper Tedder;
husband-Alonza Benjamin Tedder. Nancy was married twice, the 1st time to a Mr. Luper
given name unknown) and had several children with him including a John Luper. Her 2nd
marriage was with Ben Tedder; they also had several children. Ben and Nancy were married
in 1883 in Franklin County, Texas (northeast Texas). I don't know Nancy's birthdate or
deathdate at this time. All of Ben and Nancy's children were born in Franklin County in
the 1880's and 1890's. I have been told that Nancy was part Cherokee Indian.
I would also like to know if Partain is a Cherokee name/surname; if not, what is it?
