Hi,
I don't remember what I said in the first message to you. So I'll start again. My name is Evelyn Stierley, used to be Ballou...and yes I believe we are cousins...it is nice to meet you. If you give me your email we can talk. I have a cousin who is related on both my mom and dads side and she has a lot of records done...she is great. I do know Grandma Ilah's parents names were Jake Partee and Velora Partee.I was just dicussing this because grandma's birthday was the 12th of November and my dad's was the 19th. Please share with what you find out also. We have alot on moms side but not so much on dads. We have a family renion every other year (we had one last summer)...but they are in Harbor Springs Michigan. I'm sure everyone would like to meet you.

Roland was my grandfather. I guess that makes us cousins, yes? Unfortunately, I don't remember where I found the name, Enos. What I am really looking for is more information about Ilah Partee, her parents, etc.

Were you saying Great Grandma? Ilah (Partee) Ballou was my Grandma. She did not have a son Enos. Her sons were Roland, Alvin, & Elmer...unless that was a sername I never heard. Alvin (chum) was my father. How are you related in the family?

Well I think this information may just frustrate you but I am going to tell you anyway. My father's name is James Alan Partee born 1949. He was born in Thomasville, Georgia. I have heard of one other James Partee that is from Tucker, Georgia. I don't know his middle name. I know this is not the information you are looking for but I felt compelled to write to you.

My GGM was Ilah (Partee) Ballou (1896 MI), daughter of Jacob (OH) and Velora (1861 MI) Partee. Although I can't find an Enos Partee in Jacob's Ohio line, Ilah named one of her sons Enos. They lived in Emmet County, MI. Any relation?

I have a magazine called Women's Household from May 1968. The picture on the front is Pearl May Partee wife of Frank Partee. There is an article in the magazine about Pearl and the things she created. I'd like to send this to a family member if they are interested. According to the article their children were Melvin, Bob, Evelyn and Betty.

Doe's anyone know of a Richmond Partee,living in marina Ca. in 1948. He worked someplace as a cook.He might have been married to a Thelma Pete. They had a daughter named Patricia. I think he was born 1916 somewhere in Oklahoma.

There is a picture of Aquilla in a book published by Ella Hammill "The Hammill Family Ancestors and Descendants". I believe there is a copy of the book at the LDS Family History Center. Might be able to get one on loan at your local library too. I do have the book and could probably try and scan a copy if you can't obtain the book. I'm of the Hammill side.

Tate Co., MS.,is right next to Panola Co., which is the county that Squire Boone Partee lived. He was born in 1804 and lived in West TN., prior to moving to MS. He apparently had slaves and in fact fathered at least one mulatto child whose descendant has been in touch with me. Please email me for his address at christip@southshore.com. Barbara,I am wondering where you found the birthdate of Mattie Arkansas Partee / McElroy. The birth certificate that I have says she was born in 1891 and you have 1894. Do you think she forgot when she was born? This birth certificate came from her daughter. I would like very much to find out which is true.

Do you have access to the book of Panola County History? If not I would be happy to provide you with the information in it concerning the Partees. The only information on Margaret Dincy in this book is the dates 1851-1931 & m. Christopher Columbus Land.

Nancy married John HOLT , both were born <1850>. No other info on these two.
They had one daughter that I know of, Katherine (Kate) Margaret Josephine. Born 1877, unknown county in Tn. She married John Clinton Meadows. They had 12 childern. With one set of twin girls, who died at birth.

I am looking for the Partee family because I bought a house they owned in Snohomish. I would like to know about this family also. I was told by a genalogist in town that the Dr. Thomas Keefe gave this home to his daughter Katie Partee. I found this deed in 1901. I am assuming that she was the wife of John Partee who listed his profession as photographer. There is also a Charles Partee. Can you help me get any of this straight? I have some artifacts that may be of interest the the decendants if they are connected. Such as an envelope to a John Morrall in Ohio. I would love to get a photo to display in this victorian home.
