my greatgrandfather,charles ernest tardy, 1835-1908, was born in bitche, together with four of his other seven siblings.ggfather went to china in 1860 as a missionary.
he lived in both china,hong kong and malaya (now called
malaysia) with his wife and family until 1898 when he returned to france without them.i am trying to trace the living relatives
of his siblings. i would like to know if anyone has heard of
tardys coming from this region in moselle departement. they
must have moved from bitche and gone to live in sarreguemines or else migrated to a neighbouring country or
possibly further to UK or US.
