WEST LIBERTY - Lois Passmore, 92, of West LIBERTY, died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2000, at the Simpson Memorial Home in West LIBERTY following an extended illness.
Services will be at Cedar Valley United Methodist Church south of West LIBERTY.
Visitation will be at the Barker Funeral Home in West LIBERTY. Memorials may be made to the Cedar Valley United Methodist Church or the West LIBERTY Rescue Unit.
Mrs. Passmore was born Feb. 8, 1907, in Toddville, the daughter of Leslie and Wecie Trimble Hepker. She married Chet Passmore on Jan. 12, 1927, in Davenport. He preceded her in death in1995.
They farmed for 40 years in the Cedar Valley Community south of West LIBERTY before moving to West LIBERTY in 1965. She was a member of the Cedar Valley United Methodist Church where she held offices in the United Methodist Women and taught vacation Bible school. She was a very special wife, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include a son, Leighton Passmore and his wife, Alice, of West Liberty; two daughters, Donna Fae Sterner and her husband, Darel, of West LIBERTY and Vicki Brei and her husband, Randy, of Marion; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a great great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters, five brothers, and a great grandson.
