Looking for info on William Passons, found in NC in early 1800's. Especially interested in possibly connecting an Elizabeth Passons to him as a daughter, or a Mary ______ as his wife. Mary appears in Elizabeth's household in 1850 in Ashe county, NC, as Mary Passons, mother, age 73, b. VA. Elizabeth Tilley is head of household, age 36, b. VA, with several children.
Passons doesn't seem to be a common name early on in the US. Is anyone out there researching this surname in the NC/VA/TN area?
