I am researching the family of my great-great-grandfather, ISTVAN [Stephen] PATAKI (b. 1823) of Szolnocsko, Zemplen megye, Hungary [now Solnicka, Slovakia]. He and his first wife, MARIA LUKACS (1825-1868), had four children: Julianna, Maria, Janos, and Istvan.

The eldest child, Julianna (1856-1931), married Joseph KISS (1849-1909) of Zemplenagard, and they were my great-grandparents. The second child, Maria, married Andras KEREKJARTO and had several children. The third child, Janos, died early in life. And the fourth, Istvan, had wife Elizabeth and four sons. Some of those sons may have emigrated to the U.S.
