In a book at the 'Société de Généalogie Canadienne Française' called: 'The Franco-Americans of Connecticut 1880', New London County, Town of Montville, Village of Pennot, under 'Patnough, I found a person who could be my g-g-father: Joseph B. Losenon (Lusignan), single boarder, 25, barber, living with the Patenaude family : Albert Patnough (Patenaude) and Melissa E. Guyette (Goyette). Joseph was born in Rhode Island (so were Albert and Melissa's children) and both his parents were from Canada (French). Albert was the son of Albert Patenaude who married three times: Marie Victoire Lord (Laure), Tharsile Ste-Marie and Flavie Coach. I was able to go up the line to Nicolas Patenotre and Marguerite Breton and thus to the Patenaude web site. I can't help but think that there may be a family tie between this Patenaude family and my g-g-father (Joseph B. Lusignan) who married Marie Délia Cusson. However, I can't trace any wedding record. I know all about this Délia who was from Drummondville, Qc (1865), her 4 children (one of them was my g-father Ferdinand Lusignan), her second marriage to Léon-Émile Viau dit CinqMarss (1903) and her death in Montreal (1918). I also know that her first 3 children: Albert (1881), Ferdinand (1882) and Évariste (1883) were born in the U.S.A. (place unknown). The fourth child, Lily (Marie-Éléonore) was born in Drummondville (1886).

I know that there is a Marguerite Patenaude who married a Joseph Amiel-Lusignan in 1832 in St-Charles, Rouville, Qc. However, I don't know if this could be a lead.

I would really like to obtain any information which would lead me to Joseph Lusignan and Délia Cusson in the U.S.A.
