I believe the person who was born in 1858 is Joseph Pates who married Caroline Smith on 19th April 1879 in Gloucester. They had 10 children. Joseph father was called William Pates who married Elizabeth Denley on 02 June 1840 at Charlton Kings and had 13 children. William's father was also called William and married Mary Hall on 25 November 1805 at Charlton Kings. They had 7 children. They are all my grandparents and I hope this helps you.

Your William PATES and Elizabeth DENLEY are most probably related to my PATES but I have no direct link at this point. If you had some idea of who William's parents were I might have a better chance of working out where they fit in.

I do have one William (b 1816) who falls in the right time frame, without spouse information, who is the son of William PATES and Mary HALL. I am descended from one of his brothers.

I also noted on the IGI (http://www.familysearch.org/) that William and Elizabeth (or Eliza) were married 02 June 1840, perhaps if you obtained their marriage certificate we might be able to see if there is a positive match with my line.

I am looking for the birth details of Harry Pates. He was apparently born in Athlone, Ireland in 1876/77. He came to England any time before 1920 and lived in London and then Leighton Buzzard. He was married to Annie Sherwood. He is my great-grandfather and I am desparate to add his details to my family history. Any information will be gratefully received.

I'm looking for information about Barbara Pate Brown . I believe she was born in early 1900 around Riesel or Waco Texas. She married a man called Slovacek he died and she married my Dad , William Brown. She had four children by Mr. Slovacek. She had six children by Mr. Brown. Minnie,Bessie,Lizzie,and Woodrow Slovacek. Is there a chance the last name could be Pate instead of Pates? I talked with my Aunts yesterday and they said the name was Pate instead of Pates.
So, now I`m all confused Iguess I`ll have to change geers here the paper I had copied from the library here I can`t find.
I think though I found the name Polly on it.

My 2nd or 3rd Great Grandfather was John Pate he lived in Searcy co. Ar. for a time then moved on to Oklahoma
But whats so interesting is he was married several times and I think he may have had a daughter named Polly. I don`t have my chart on him. My Aunt does.
