ROCHESTER — Phyllis R. Patnode, 52, of Virginia Avenue in Rochester, N.Y., went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, Nov. 23, 2001, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on Sept. 3, 1949, in Ellenburg Depot, N.Y., the daughter of Russell and Naomi (Miller) McNeil.
Phyllis is survived by her mother; her husband, Warren Patnode, whom she married in 1968; Along with two daughters, Lauri and Lisa; a son, Warren Jr.; and two grandchildren, Craig Patnode and Ashley Krupe, who called her "Nana"; two sisters, Brenda Rogers and Mrs. Wendell (Diane) Brooks; three brothers and sisters-in-law, William and Trudy McNeil, Dale and Patty McNeil and Robert McNeil and Mrs. Isabelle McNeil.
She was predeceased by her father; and two brothers, Miller and Bruce McNeil.
Phyllis was a loving person and well known for her "spunk" even through a long illness she showed a wonderful spirit and was an inspiration to all who came into contact with her.
Some of her most precious memories were made at Mooers International Campgrounds, where she had her little yellow cottage.
Calling hours were held at the James Gray Funeral Home in Rochester, N.Y., on Monday, Nov. 26, 2001, with funeral service on Tuesday at Gates Wesleyan Church. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2001, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Chateaugay Funeral Home in Chateaugay with cremation to follow at Green Mountain Crematory in Middlebury, Vt.
Donations may be made to National Kidney Foundation in her memory.
