According to Floyd County, Kentucky, marriage bonds, the Margaret "Peggy" Patrick who married Elijah Coffee in Floyd County 30 Jan 1819 (she was born in 1803) was the daughter of a Robert Patrick. Does anyone have any additional information about which Robert this might be? Birth, spouse, marriage date and place, death? Or any possibilities on who it may be?

Americus Patrick

I have been able to trace quite a bit of my mother's family history. I am not able however to find out anything on the Patrick side beyond this: Micheil (that's the spelling I was given) Patrick, b. August 20, 1806, he married Centhey (no maiden name available) b. March 1, 1813. They had Americus Patrick, b. July 3, 1836 who married Jelpha Goodrich Patrick, b. Jan 31,1838. They had 13 children, one of whom is my ancestor: James Thomas, b. Feb 15, 1865. I have the names and birthdates of his siblings if anyone needs them. I do not have any idea where they lived. Jelpha's family did start out in Tennessee, then moved to Illinois and Indiana. I can be e-mailed at sibleyhome@cs.com. Thanks

Anna & Anthony Patrick, of Elizabeth, NJ, 1874-1963

Searching for Anna Jankauskas(?) Patrick who was born in New York about 1883, a possible daughter of William Jankauskas and Anna Cesnauckiute. She married an undertaker named Anthony Patrick in 1897, formerly Anton Petrovic, who was born about 1874 in Russia/Lithuania, came to the United States in 1895, and died in New Jersey in 1962. Thier fourteen children were: Annie (b. 1899), Unknown, Unknown, Unknown, Unknown, Eleanor (b. 1904), Edward E., also an undertaker (1905-1955?), Anastasia (b.1911), Genevieve (b. 1913), Charles (1915-1982?), William (1916-1998?), Sylvester (1921-1983?), Sylvia (b. 1919), Dorothy (b.1925). Anthony Patrick was an undertaker in Elizabeth, New Jersey. One of the daughters may have been known as "Tootsie."

We are exploring the possibility that Anna Jankauskas Patrick (wife) was our mother's paternal aunt. Have strong reason to believe that our Mom knew nothing about this family. The children would have been Mom's cousins.

Descendants of Anna and Anthony Patrick may be able to help us find Anna's siblings, one of which may have been our maternal grandfather. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have an original carte de visite photograph of “Joseph Patrick”, which I’d like to get back to descendants or family members. Photo was taken in Mt. Vernon (Knox Co.) OH, and Joseph looks to be about mid-20s.

I found Joseph Patrick in the 1860 census for Pleasant (Knox Co.), and he was age 21, so he was born about 1839.
Samuel Patrick md 1) Elizabeth Lowery; 2) Sallie J. Ransom/a.k.a. Sarah Ranson

Samuel Patrick married in Estill County, Kentucky, to Elizabeth Lowery. They had seven children: Sarah, Mary, Elizabeth, John, Paul, Martha, and Rebecca. All these children except Rebecca were born in KY. Rebecca was born in Illinois; her mother must have died shortly thereafter because Samuel remarried 4 months after Rebecca was born. Samuel married Sallie J. Ransom (aka Sarah Ranson) in St. Louis in April of 1866. Where they were between 1866 and 1874, I do not know. In 1874, they had settled in Ozark County, Missouri. According to the 1880 Census, they are in the Richland Township and have two children of their own: Lidia and Anna. According to my greatgrandmother, there were eight children: "half brothers & sisters--8: Annie, Rachel, Phoebe, Bad & Shug, Peter, Homer (?)." Obviously she didn't know the name of the eighth. In 1883, Samuel died, and I have no record or notion of what happened to Sallie's children. Can anyone out there help me? And if you are a descendent of Samuel's children (any of them) I definitely want to hear from you! I am greatgreatgranddaughter of Paul Patrick.

Rebecca
Rr060191@aol.com

What happened to George W. Patrick (s/o Samuel)?

My ancestor George W. Patrick was born ca. 1843 probably in Sullivan County, Tennessee, the son of Samuel Patrick and Frances (Hampton?). George enlisted in the Union Army during the Civil War and was held captive in Andersonville Prison, from which he escaped. In 1867 he turns up in Coles County Illinois and married Rachel Hopper in nearby Moultrie County. They had two children: Lilbern, who died as an infant, and my gr-grandmother Eliza. In 1873 Rachel (Hopper) Patrick died, and after that I can find absolutely no sign of George.

I see a number of researchers on this site who are tracking the descendants of Samuel and Frances Patrick. Do any of you know what became of their son George?

Hugh married Susannah ( last name unknown at least not proven). He was in Rev War in VA. They had several children including my Gr gr grandfather, Robert Patrick b. abt 1760-65 probably in VA. Robert married Elizabeth McMullen. They had first children in TN then went to Floyd Co. KY. I would really hope to find someone with documented facts about Hugh's parents and where they are from. Many say they came over from Scotland, but I suspect it Was from No. Ireland as "Scotch Irish". I hope to reach someone who knows. Thanks for any effort. Eleanor Patrick

He was born 3/20/1887 somewhere in NY according to the census records and was married to Emma M. Jennings in Erie Co., NY. He worked for the railroad and died sometime before 1930 as Emma is listed as a widow at that time.

I have traced my ancestors back to South Carolina. They went to Lincoln Co, Tenn and then on to Marshall Co, AL. I don't recognize the names on your list, but wondered if since they came from S.C and ended up in AL if it might have a connection. The furtherest back I have gone is Elias Patrick born 1775 in S.C
Betty

Patrick of Norfolk, England

I am looking for information about a Frances Ann Patrick who married James Mills in St Pancras in 1866. Her marriage certificate gives her father as James Patrick, occupation: Saddler. Later Census records give her birth date as 1844 and birth place as North Walsham, Norfolk. There is a record in the Birth Index of a Frances Ann Patrick born in 1843 in Erpingham District, which includes North Walsham. The 1841 census for North Walsham lists James Patrick, age 25, Saddler; wife Mary, age 25; daughter Eliza, age 5. So far, so good!
However, at this point I have hit a brick wall. I cannot find the family on any later census. I have searched every possible misspelling of the name, all to no avail! They seem to have completely disappeared. I would be grateful if anyone could help me at all on this one.

Jerusha Patrick born 1772 VA died 1862 KY

I am researching Jerusha (Gerusia) Patrick b. abt 1772 in VA d. abt 1862 in Wayne County, Kentucky. She was d/o Jeremiah Patrick(1738-1822) & Sarah "Sally" Blair(1741-1793). Jerusha married John Young. We believe they left VA about 1813 and settled near Mt Pisgah in Wayne County.

She was a charter member of the Pleasant Hill Church in Wayne County, along with 2 of her children (Andrew & wife, and Lillie (Young) Brown).

I am looking for all information I can on Jeremiah & Jerusha because there are several John Youngs in that area and I am hoping research on the Patricks will help identify John's travel path and possibly siblings/parents.

There has been speculation that John & Jerusha's children are:

Sarah Young b. 1795
Israel Young b. 1796-1847
Burdine Young b. 1800 d. 1858 in Fentress Co., TN
John Young 1805-1879
Andrew Young b. 1806-1846
Edward Young b. 1808
Lillie Young b. 1810-1897 married Noah Brown

The above children are "speculation" at this point. With Lillie, Andrew and Burdine tied together closer than all the rest. I am directly descended from Burdine.

Would like to know anything I can about Jerusha Patrick.

Thanks

Rob

Richard M. Patrick b. 1815 S.C

I am trying to find Richard M.Patricks parents name and what the M. stands for in his name . He was born in S.C in 1815 but I do not know the cty.He married Sarah L. Tiba. She was born in 1825 in S.C.They had 12 children. Handford. Irvin,Edward,Shadrack W.,Eiza,Marley,Amanda,Alonzo,Sarah, Joel Burble, Henrietta, and Perry Patrick. He was my great grandfather and my grandfathers name was Shadrack Washington Patrick married to Nancy Blackwell. My grandfather came to Ms. in an ox wagon with his family. dont know how old he was but I think it was when he was a boy.My grandfather and grandmother died in Jones Cty Ms. I dont know anyhing about Richard except who he was married to and his childrens names and their dates of birth. His father is listed as just Patrick. This sounds like the way they list in Ireland or other places in the U.K so dont know if it was his father who came to U.S or how far back. All Richards children were born from 1844 thru. 1868. If anyone has ANY info about any of these please e-mail me. I am at a deadend with this. hazmi@webtv.net

Hugh Patric was born abt. 1732. He died abt.1814 in Lee co. VA. Hugh and Susannah Patrick had a son Robert abt 1764 probably in VA. Robert married Elizabeth McMullen in VA or NC, they moved to TN and were there end of 1700s when they had first sons. They moved to Floyd co.KY area and had several more children. Robert remarried and moved to Madison Co. ARK. I would love to know where this family "came over" from. I suspect they were "Scotch-Irish" because they came early 1700s and followed the "old wagon trail"- PA, MD, VA and NC. any help appreciated. Eleanor

I'm looking for anyone who has information on Thomas J. Patrick born in North Carolina around 1827. An 1850 Census record shows him living in Alabama and married to Rhoda Jane Patrick, whom, I have recently discovered, had the maiden name of Allen.

Children are listed as James, William, Sarah, Dee, Gabriel and John. I am descended from William H. who was born around 1850.

I read a post in a different thread that led me to believe that Thomas may have died in the Civil War.

If anyone has any information to share I would really appreciate it. I am at a dead end for this line.

Does anyone know what John? Jackson? Patrick was up to before Sarah Bailey and Jane Alred? He was in his 50's when he hooked up with them as per the 1860 Floyd county Census. I believe Jane and probably John? Jackson? Patrick came from TN. Did they have an elder child William? Who was his first wife? wives? before Jane Alred. I am a decendant of Commodore Patrick one of John? Jackson?'s youngest sons.
My John Fitz Patrick was married to Elizabeth Callaway in Bedford County Virginia on November 26, 1787. I need to know about his family. We are led to believe his father was an Issac Patrick, but have no proof of this fact. There are references to a John Fitz Patrick many years before his marriage, and in the same county. Was this his father? Any help would be appreciated.

Patrick and Henderson Marriage, Talbotville Elgin Co., Ontario

The individuals are not my family, but simply there was a newspaper clipping for this marriage notice stuck in an old Canadian book I bought. Unfortunately, there is no year on the notice. Hopefully it might be of interest to someone though. I'm sorry to say I do not have any additional information on this family other then what is listed below. Hope this helps someone!

Henderson-Patrick
At the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jno Patrick, Talbotville, a large gathering met at high noon on December 16 to witness the marriage of their youngest daughter, Alice G. to Mr. George H. Henderson. The bride was unattended being presented at the marriage altar by her father to a place beside the waiting groom under an arch of native evergreens and white carnations.
The bride was dressed in cream silk mull with satin and lace trimmings and wedding veil with orange blossoms and carried a boquet of bridal roses. The wedding march was played by Miss Edna Martindale, of London, cousin of the groom. The ceremony was performed by Rev. J. F. Sutcliffe, of Talbotville. The grooms gift to the bride was a set of sable furs.
Friends were present from Red Deer, Alta., Toronto, London, Fingal, Littlewood, Lambeth, Temp and St. Thomas.
The wedding feast was much appreciated by the many guests.
Mr. and Mrs. Henderson left for Ingersoll and Tillsonburg. The brides travelling dress was of brown valeska.

He is found in 1830 Floyd Co., KY cenus living next to Hugh, Henry, John, James, Hiram, Meredith, Robert, Wiliam and James, Sr. Patrick. He later migrated to Arkansas with some of these.
