Hi,
Some cousins and I have been doing research since 1997. The Pattersons I am related to were from behind the Qualla boundary. My grandmothers great grandmother was married to a John Chapman SR. one of the children, Asberry was her grandfather and he was 3/4 cherokee she said. I haven't pieced it all together. But I believe I will. Kay
