Last night I discovered that William Wade PATTERSON was previously married to Nancy M. SMITH b. 1842 TX on July 29, 1858 in Freestone, TX.

It turns out he is the son of John PATTERSON and Henrietta HAMELTON/HAMILTON.

So I now have more questions.
