I have been working on my father's family for some time and have found the following information, I hope it may help someone out there.
My father was Andrew Nicol Pattie b. 2/12/1917 in Methil, His father was Donald Mc Leod Pattie b. 9/06/1890 in Buckhave, Fife, His father was Andrew Nicol Pattie b. 28/10/1857 in Ferry Port-on-Craig, Fife, he was married to Williamina Mc Leod, his father was John Pattie b.21/10/1826 in Ferry Port-on-Craig, he was married to Ann Mc Culloch, His father was Young Patie (note spelling change) b. 14/5/1797, married to Elizabeth Dutch, his father was Walter Patie b. 12/2/1761 in Ferry Port-on-Craig married to Margaret Buist. I have some others all born in Ferry Port on-Craig if anyone is interested.
