I want every date and place I can get. I do not post birth or
marriage dates later than 1930 to the general population but I do
supply them to cousins! My date of birth is 30 Nov 1934 but when it
got posted to the JARRELL ListServer or the general internet it would
appear as 30 Nov 19(private) which tells everyone that I have a hard
date and no further research needs to be done.

Having said that - I post my dob in it's natural form because I'm not
concerned about it.

It didn't have Kanawha spelled out. So Louisa was Allie's sister. I think maybe the census taker made a mistake on Louisa's married name.

William Morgan Pauley was the son of Ephriam and Anna Mullins Pauley. I am a decendent of his brother Joseph who married Mary Ann Tacket.

I dont believe there were 2 Tiger Bill Pauleys. You need to contact Myra Freeman. She is a decendant of William Morgan Pauley. She had a form on yahoo WV families. I dont have a current email for her. Fred Justice maybe able to answer some questions also. He is a decendent of Joseph and Mary as well. He grew up in that area. Has a lot of info on this line. Here’s the information that I have on William “Tiger Bill” Pauley.
Born: June 10, 1822 at Cobbs Creek, Kanawha Co, VA- Now WV
Died: March 18, 1911

William Pauley was married 3 times. He married Nancy Jane (Mitchell) Pauley, and had four children.
1. Noah Pauley married Ellen ?
2. Felix Pauley
3. Joshua Pauley (My great-grandfather) married Zelda “Thelma” Sansom
4. Ida Elizabeth “Betty” Pauley- She married Thomas Jefferson Duty

It was also mentioned that William had another son named James Iverson Pauley, but did not know the names of the other 2 wives.

I found William Morgan “Tiger Bill” Pauley – but Nancy wasn’t mentioned & children do not match up.. I would like to find out who Tiger Bill’s parents were, but I couldn’t figure out who he was.

And also, I’m told Joshua Pauley was a police constable for Madison, Boone Co, WV (My aunt has a picture of him in uniform), however; his death certificate states he was a lumberer. I can't seem to verify that he worked as a police constable and I can’t find any more info on him except he was married to my grandmother. Josh died August 21, 1943.

My Homer was born in 1879 and died in 1953. He is buried in Kansas City MO at the Memorial Park Cemetery. There are 2 Homer Pauley's. My Pauley line started in Griffithsville WV. They moved to MO soon after the Death of their father Thomas Ephriam Pauley s/o Joseph Pauley and Mary Ann Tackett.

My G-G-Grandfather was also Nathan Ramus Pauley. I am looking for information on Jonathan Pauley and Mary Ann?? I think her last name may be Blankenship born 1813 VA. Died aft 1880. I am related to Squire Pauley, Jr. His sister was Leanza Pauley who married Thomas Linville (my 3rd Great Grandparents). Email me directly as I am very interested in your lines. I also have connections to the Ferrell's.

Interesting to note that Thomas and Leanza Pauley Linville were first cousins. At any rate, I connect to the Miller's and this gives me another connection to the Pauley family. To conclude, I descend through 3 children of Samuel and Martha "Patsy" Hill Pauley. Does that give me enough Pauley blood?

My grandmother was born Maude Jeanne Pauley in either VA, Wv, but most likey TN. She had three sisters, Mary, Mack and May/Mae. Their mother died when they were all very young and my Grandmother was placed into an orphanage in Greenville, TN. The orphanage burned down and there are no records. All four sisters were adopted to different families. I know my aunt May lived in Johnson City, TN when she died and Aunt Mack in Providence, KY. I am told, their parents: my greatgrandmother was Cherokee and I believe my greatgrandfather's name may have been John (?) Pauley

She married a Walter MANNING around 1801. Mary died on 29 Nov 1863. Walter and Mary had 11 children, all believed to be born in Orange Co., NY. According to family records (by Paul and dixie Alley's daughter Lena) Mary and Thomas Alley had 3 children: Paul S. Alley whom married dixie cline, Dixie A. Alley born Sept. 26, 1891 and died Sept. 26, 1891, Willie B Alley born and died Sept 14, 1893.

Thomas Alley died July 1894
Mary E Pauley Alley Thompson died Feb 10, 1946.
Children with Kenis were:
Dewy, D.S., Dock, Danville, Jettie, Lena
Kenis was the son of Richard Thompson and Elizabeth Maynard

Mary was the sister to: Jane, Flora, Etta, Elizabeth, Geneva, Martha, Lena, Tobe, Jospeh, John, Tom, Ambrose, Willie.

Yes this is the same lady. She was first married thomas alley had a son named Paul S. Alley (my great granpa) and after the death of Thomas Alley married a Kenis Thompson and had several children with him. Are you related?

Shadle Pauley was the father of Mary Ellen Pauley who married 1st to Thomas Alley (my gr gr grandfather) and then 2nd to Kenis Thompson. Thomas Alley and Mary Pauley had my gr granpa Paul S. If anyone could give me informatio on Lon Pauley who was married to Lily Mae Hensley, b. 26 Aug 1897 in Knox County, Kentucky, I would appreciate it.
Lily Mae died in childbirth, d. 07 Feb 1921, and then Lon disappeared. They were married abt. 1920 in Rose Hill, Virginia. Lily was the daughter of Benjamin Franklin Hensley.
