I went to grade school with a Cyril Pawnee in Alliance, Nebraska, in the 1960's. I lost touch when he moved before junior high. There was a listing by that same name in North Platte, Nebraska, but I have not pursued it. Hope this helps.

Hi, your right. The spelling could be because people spelled the way they heard the name. Thanks for your response. I am interested in learning anything you may have to help us. I will gladly share all information that we already have too. :):):)
Let me know, and thanks again.
Patricia C.
Family members of PAWNEE, John Henry and back

I am trying to locate someone who can give me
more information regarding the PAWNEE family
name. My children's fathers name is John Henry Pawnee. His father was Paul David Pawnee and his mothers name is Julia ____ Frost Pawnee. He had two siblings, a brother named William and a sister. I think his sisters name was Arvella. I'm not sure.
They are from the Rosebud Reservation and the Pineridge Reservation in So. Dakota. We are also searching for a living brother of John, whose name is Cyril Pawnee. We would like to make contact with him. My daughter has contacted the BIA in So. Dakota. They told her they did not know where Cyril is either. If you have any information please contact me at my email address graef5232@ancestry.com.
Many thanks to you for your efforts and response.

Sincerely,
Patricia C. Graef
mother of Paul Edward Pawnee and Merrie Grace Pawnee, son and daughter.
