Karla Sonnier Paxton

Karla Sonnier Paxton, 47, passed away Thursday, September 4, 2008 in her Iowa home. A native of Port Arthur, Texas, Karla lived in Southeast Texas and Southwest Louisiana over the years. She was a graduate of Iowa High School and a Houston Cosmetology School. Karla had been a cosmetologist a number of years. She is survived by her husband, J.R. Paxton, Orange, TX; son, HM3 FMF James Patrick Silas Sonnier and wife Angela of Virginia; father, Jessie Sonnier; brothers and sisters, Rhonda Blalock, Larry Sonnier, Edward Sonnier, Suzanne Johnson, Rev. Kenneth Sonnier, Bryan Sonnier, Myron Sonnier, Jessie L. Sonnier, Eric Sonnier and Nanette Blosser; many nieces and nephews. Karla was preceded in death by her mother, Mary LeBlanc Sonnier; niece, Mary Beth Sonnier and grandmother, Rose Olivia LeBlanc. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, September 10, 2008 in Johnson Funeral Home chapel. Brother Jeff Bell will officiate.
