My grandfather William Payette and his wife Florence were divorced when my father was an infant. My father, Melvin William Payette never knew his father. We have both tried for many years to find out anything about William Payette. If you have any information concerning him it would be most appreciated.

We believe that my Grandfather was born in Michigan about 1872 but have never been able to substantiate this through any records. Further I have been unable to find him through census, SS, or military records.
