A lot of my Payton's came from MO, I am trying to find information on my g grandfather Jonthan (John) Payton. He was born 1848, married Sara Ross in 1866 in Iowa and was said to have died in Carthage, MO. Have information on most of the children in this family, would like to find out who John's parents were and where they lived. If any one has any information on this family I would like to here from you.
