Hazel I. Peacock, 90, formerly of Webster Rd., Fredonia, died Friday March 14, 2008 in Autumn View Health Care Facility Hamburg, N.Y.
She was born January 5, 1918 in Fredonia
the daughter of Otto and Myrtle (Irons) Lindberg.
She attended Fredonia Schools
and was a member of Laona United Methodist Church.
She was a member of the Rebekah’s and a past Noble Grand Rebekah. She had worked for Murphy’s Department Store in Fredonia for many years.
She was married to her first husband John M. Peterson who predeceased her in 1971 and to her second husband Robert C. Peacock who also predeceased her.
Mrs. Peacock loved to dance, enjoyed playing cards, crocheting, knitting and sewing.
Her two sons John O. (Phyllis) Peterson of Texas, William F. (Helen) Peterson of Buffalo, NY, her six grandchildren, her seven great grandchildren
and several nieces and nephews survive.
She was predeceased by her parents,
her first husband John M. Peterson,
her second husband Robert C. Peacock,
two brothers Gerald Lindberg,
Willis Lindberg,
two sisters Gertrude Abers,
Margaret Parr
and an infant grandson.
Family and friends are invited to call at the Larson-Timko Funeral Home, 3780 Eagle St. Fredonia on Thursday March 20, 2008 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m..
Funeral services will be held Thursday March 20, 2008 at 1 p.m. in the funeral home and will be officiated by the Rev. Rodney Mileham, pastor of Laona United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Laona Cemetery, Fredonia.
