I am looking for the parents of Elizabeth Peak/Peek, b. Nov 1835 in IL, died 1911 in Chandlersville, Cass Co., IL as Elizabeth (Peak) Lounsberry Dick Shankland.
I believe she had brothers Wilson 1840, William 1838, and John W. 1829. John is living next to her in 1880 in Cass Co., Illinois.
I believe she may be found in the 1850 census in Menard Co., Illinois in the houshold of Joshiah Cook 43; with wife Jane 43; [her children?] Wilson 20; Albert 18; Lavina 16; Elizabeth 14; William 12; Melville 2; and Martha 6. David Lounsberry is listed on the same page with his family.
There are marriage records for Joshiah Cook and Jane Peek in 1846 in Menard; and for Levina Peak m. O[range] N[iles] Mcarthur in 1854; Wilson Peek m. Mary Ralph.
