I am trying to trace my maternal line and can't get any further back than Lucy or Lucinda Owens, whose father may have been William Owens. She married Elisha Pearce around 1774 and she died around 1787. Lucy had two children, Phebe Jane and William Pearce. I descend from Phebe Jane who married Jacob Horton. I see several family trees that include Lucy Owens and Jacob, but none list her mother's name or carry the line any further back than Lucy.
