Donald Lee Pearman, Sr., 61 of Atkins went to live in peace with the Lord on September 30, 2008, in Conway.
Born March 25, 1947, in Pine Bluff, he was the son of the late Cloys Edward Pearman and Lula Mae Brown Pearman Rogers. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Traci LeAnn Pearman; his step-father, Estelle Rogers; and a brother, Charles "Buddy" Pearman.
Don was a graduate of Dewitt High School, an employee of Arkansas Kraft at Morrilton for 33 years, an active member of Local Union 1965, an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved his family deeply. His family lovingly referred to him as "Big Don" due to his larger than life spirit, love and personality. May he rejoice with his heavenly father for a life well lived.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Linda Kay Turner Pearman of Atkins; a son and daughter-in-law, Donny Lee Pearman, Jr. and Pam of Golden, Mo.; a daughter and son-in-law, Staci Y. and Scott Duvall of Russellville; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Nath Davis of Shreveport, La., and Mary Loou and Tommy Cunningham of St. Charles; five grandchildren, Alyssa Pearman, Collin Pearman, Ella Pearman, Tyler Duvall and Austin Duvall; and two step-brothers, Ronnie Rogers of Morrilton and Jerry Rogers of Kentucky.
Graveside service and burial will be at 2 p.m. Friday, October 3, 2008, at Oakland Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Norberg officiating. Arrangements are by Lemley Funeral Service.
Visitation will be 6:30-8:00 p.m. today.
Pallbearers will be Nath Davis, Rusty Gadberry, Scott Duvall, Donnie Pearman Jr., Tommy Cunningham, Gary Kestner and Tom Herrin.
Memorials may be made to the National Marfans Foundation or the American Heart Association/Memorials, P.O. Box 1653, topeka, Ks. 66601.
