I have some information on some of the Pearsall children through obituaries I have found. Anything else is what I have collected in a database that is on line in rootsweb worldconnect
http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?db=sbkr2
Please if you find errors, send me corrections with facts, I have put in all facts and information I have been sent or have found. I hope that someone somewhere would return the favor with information on my brick walls.
Thank you
Shirley Becker
clanroots@gmail.com

Hi,
Although this is not my direct line, I have a little information on your grandmother's family.

Nathalee "Ethel" Pearsall 1930-2003 born in Duplin Co., NC was the daughter of Charlie Pearsall and Minnie Kenan. They were married Feb. 9, 1928 in Wayne Co. NC. Her sister, Edna Earl Pearsall, married my cousin, Freeman Bowden-The son of Richard Allen Bowden and Minnie Best. According to the info. that I have Nathalee was one of ten children. Her siblings appear as: Ezra Lee, Bessie M., Charles, Edna Earl, Willie James, Jimmie Lee, Alma Jean, Doris Louvenia, and Lonnie. The birth records for these children appear in the Duplin Co. Register of Deeds.

My great great grandfather is Isaac Ferris Hart. I came across a link http://harttohart.net and found James Rutherford are brothers.
Henrietta's mother, Cela Barnard and my grandmother, Edna Barnard were sisters. My father Barnard K. Mitchell was a child about the same time as Henrietta was.

I met Lawrence's brother, Dennis a few years ago and we exchanged family history.I too live in MI and a short distance from Brighton, were we met.

I am always looking to add more to the Barnard family tree. Dennis did not share the current generation with me due to privacy issues and I respected that. The last I knew Lloyd and Henrietta were still alive, is this still the case.

If you e-mail me I have photos that I can share, if you're interested.

There are a lot of possibilities for the Pearsall Clan in the US and other countries. You will need to give us a little more to go on if you want some guidance. Do you know where your grandparents were from? Some possible lines in the USA are in NY, VA, MI, NC, KS, TX, WA, CA. There are Pearsall's in England, in Australia and in Canada. We are always glad to have more family doing research, so give us some hints and see what happens.

I am searching for the descendants of Scholastique Belanger born on 1898 at Superior Twp , Chippewa, Michigan , amd married to Thomas Arthur Pearsall in Sault Ste-Marie, Michigan
Scholastique Belanger is the daughter of Auguste Belanger and Delia Brisson married around 1893 probably in Cheppawa area, Michigan.

Scholastique had at least four sisters,
Mary L. deceased when she was a young child,
Lydia (Leda) marride to Emile Paquin;
Josephine married to Alfred Dube
and Augustine born between 1900 and 1910.

Many cues in the 1900 and 1910 Census about the family of Auguste Belanger, father of Scholastique, let me think that he was my grandfather's brother, (my grand uncle) born in St-Simon of Rimouski, Quebec province on 1861.

Please, if you know this family, can you tell me who are the parents of Auguste Belanger married to Delia Brisson. With these names I will know if he is or not my grand uncle

Thank you very much for any help.
Monique Belanger

Access the three volumes of The Pearsall Family, found in any medium to large-sized genealogy library within a public library and go to page 1390 of volume III. There you will find Joseph Dickson Pearsall (#6) as the child of James Pearsall's third wife, Anna Dickson. It is noted Joseph Dickson Pearsall died unmarried.
Hi Joel,

My father, Robert Pearsall, was born on Long Island, NY.

I was very interested in African American history in college (this was in 1996-97) and took summer courses on the subject.

Talking to my father one time about our history from the Civil War, he told me that there were many slaves owned by the Pearsall family (something I was not pleased to hear!). However, they were all given their freedom and given their own land right before the Civil War.

There is so much wonderful history to our family and you can find it in our main geneology books (I believe they are in the Library of Congress).

Write me back if you think I can help more.

Alice Pearsall

I know Uncle Dennis had a blurb put in the paper in Ann Arbor I believe. I don't have any pictures online but I know I can upload some and share them with you. I'll let you know when they're available. I don't have a full membership here so I don't know how else to communicate with you other than in a post. Any ideas?
