Peart's in Nova Scotia

I have the family tree going back as far as the late 1700's in Guysborough, NS - Godfrey Peart, father of John and Thomas, but have not found anything previous. The posts regarding Weadale (Wheradale) England being the origin of the Peart's is very exciting, as was the posting about them coming from Normandy in the 1000's with William the Conqueror.
I'm looking for any clues as to where Godfrey came from. Has anyone come across any info on this? I assume he was an immigrant but haven't found out where he's from and don't really know where to look. Any help is greatly appreciated.
