Dear Ed:

Glad you survived Katrina. Will Narlins ever be to your liking again?

The eye of Hurricane Charley passed over my house in Punta Gorda. It destroyed it. Winds were sustained at 147mph and gusts to 193 mph. I am now retired from law practice and enjoying Fort Myers Beach.

Cordially,

Jim Kaywell

Jim:

What a pleasure to hear from you (!), as well as to hear that you are still lively enough to continue to dodge hurricanes!

Yes, I did survive Katrina, and I am now fully ensconced back in Richmond -- after all these years. My current e-mail is ewestlow@durrettebradshaw.com. Drop me a line directly, and we'll begin a more substantive correspondence.

Please include how it is that you were perusing the Pecho family message boards. My message, to which you responded, explains why I was doing so. I do look forward to hearing from you.

Cheers,

Ed

Thank you for responding to my posting! I am sorry not to have replied before now, but last August (2005) when I made my posting, I was living in New Orleans, and was forced to re-locate in September in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. My old e-mail address has not worked since then, and this posting, along with many other things, got "lost in the shuffle". Indeed, it was only by chance that I came across your response today. Thank you again.

I am sorry also for the confusion, but there was an amazing coincidence with Kate Pecho and what little I know about my father's first wife: the name Edward Wesolowski, timing of the marriage. Kate's Czech descent, and her residence in Milwaukee.

Cheers.
Ed Westlow

Re: Frank & Victoria Pecho born 1800's

I am interested in any further information about the marriage of Kate Pecho to Edward Wesolowski. I believe this Edward Wesolowski was my father (1914-2000). If so, then Kate Pecho was his first wife before he married my mother, and I have pictures which I believe are of that wedding. The marriage would have been late 1930's to early 1940's, and the divorce would have probably been just after WW-II, in 1945 or 1946. If anyone knows of the marriage of Kate Pecho to Edward Wesolowski, and it fits what I describe above, please respond, and I will reply with more detailed information to try to pin it down, and I will share pictures. Thank you.

The people named above are the great-grandparents of my children. Their grandmother is Anne (Anna) Pecho. She married Bernard Frederickson, in Oconto, WI She had two children with him: Raymond James Frederickson and Dean Bernard Frederickson. Bernard died int he 1950's. Anna then married Alfred Votava. He died in 1982. She is living in Peshtigo, WI, also her sons.
Please email me any further information that you have on the Pecho family. I never knew about a daughter named Pauleen, but there is a son named Paul, now deceased. His wife was Millie, since remarried. I believe they had five children.
