John Pedder, my grandfather, born in Barrow in Furness moved to Derby and worked on the railway. but he left my grandmother Elizabeth soon after she had given birth to my mother Zillah, their 6th child I think, in 1907. The others were Annie, John (Jack) Lizzie, Ernest, and Frederick who may have died young.
My grandfather was said to have gone back up to Manchester or Lancashire. He was a big, strong man.
His father was also John and he worked in Derby also. Are there any links out there?
A friend told me there's a bright woman in Lancashire who is the image of me.
