I'm trying to organize my records right now and am working on the children of Alexander David Peden (1804/SC-1877/TX) and Rebecca Durham (1809/SC -1869/MS). I've noticed that there are conflicting trees posted for his daughter, Mary Eleanor Peden, who apparently married William Deaton. I have found numerous census records for William D Deaton married to Eleanor, but the ages are a bit off if she was the daughter of Rebecca Durham. The census records lead me to believe that Eleanor was born around 1818/1819 and other members have posted trees stating that her last name was Alexander instead of Peden, being the daughter of Thomas Alexander (1795-1855) and Jane Jency Wood (1800-1899). Does anyone have more information about Mary Eleanor Peden or Eleanor Alexander that would help solve this? Thanks!
