Hi There,
I'm looking to find out more about the Pee members of my family. I am currently awaiting the marriage certificate of my Great Grandad John William Pee to see where he came from.
He lived in Lancashire and had a large family, including my Grandma in 1919.
I know he fought in WW1 and divorced after the war because of his behaviour but know nothing else.
Would love to find possible relatives and also keep in touch for future possible links!!

Elizabeth Maybury 10/2/1884 in dudley died 28/11/1942 at 157 stafford rd cannock they had 7 children

Samuel Pee 27/10/1847 dudley died 1901 cannock
Sarah Jane Wolloxhall 1848 died 1895
they had 13 children
the lates Find is John Pee 14/3/1783 in Shienton shropshire
in 1851 census he was a chelsea pensioner having fought at Talavera and won a medal

Sorry for the delay in replying - I've been on holiday and then have been trying to catch up!

I have an Edward Pee born in 1820 - might be a bit early for the one you mention. I have several children for him but no Enoch.

I've only just started on this line (it's my friend's tree) so don't have a lot of info on them yet, which is why I'm casting around as it's such an unusual name.

I'll take a dig around over the next week and see what I can come up with. Thanks.

Hi There,
I have a relative, born in 1865 ish Enoch Edward Pee, he's born in Derpfields Staffordshire and moves to Pendleton in Lancashire when he gets married. I can't trace any further back, but I think his Father is Edward Pee, because his marriage certificate says so. He marries in 1886.
I did send for a death certificate for an Enoch Edward Pee, who died in 1905 aged 72.....I don't think he's mine though!

This particular Mason family lived in Virginia (have not discovered anything earlier Reverend John Mason (father of Reverend Reuben Mason) who was born about 1768 probably in Virginia and married Mary (last name also Mason).

Rev. John Mason was a Methodist minister and died January 27, 1803 in South Carolina.

John Mason was probably born in Virginia. In 1786, as a member of the Virginia Methodist Conference, he was sent to do Mission work on the Broad River Circuit, an area encompassing seven counties in South Carolina. In Fairfield District, he bought 400 acres of land and established a home at the crossing of Monticello and Glenn's Bridge roads. His church, Bethel, was four miles away on Little River; he gave ten acres of land to rebuild the church on its second site and it was spoken of as Mason's Meeting House or Mason's Old Bethel. He was buried there in the graveyard after his death on January 27, 1803. [From Mrs. Sam P. Bolick, Blair, South Carolina]

Sarah Amanda "Sallie" Pee was the daughter of George Christopher Pee (1824-) and Mary Elizabeth Mason (1832-1880).

Mary Elizabeth Mason was the daughter of Reverend Reuben Mason (c1787-1863) and Nancy Watson (c1808-1840).

Don't know if this is helpful (or if you perhaps already have this information).

Not sure if this is too late to reply. My Granddad, who I never knew was Edward Cole Lord. My dad was Edward Lamar Lord, born 1930 in Kosciusko. He died in 1999, March 11th. Like to know more about what you know.......

I am just writing this message to say,WOW,I didnt know there were so many Pee's out there. I'm not really looking for anybody because all of my immediate family are here in the state of New York. I don't know much about my father's(Roosevelt Pee) family except that most of them live downsouth. So outside of my father I don't know any other Pee's. I never got to meet his parents,my grandparents because i've been here in New York my whole life,with the exception of a year living in Fayetteville,N.C. E. Walter Pee's father was Benjamin Framklin PEE b. 18 May 1833, d. 19 Jan 1892. His mother was Sarah Hench b. 1836, d. 5 Apr 1904. I also have Benjamin's parents, grandparents several siblings.

Hi David,
I have a Pee ancestry from Crawford Co., PA that came from the French portion of Switzerland in the 1840's. The original spelling of the name there was PIE and it was thought that it was pronounced like you Peay. Recently, while in Montreal, Canada, I asked about the pronunciation of a street named Pie IX. It was explained that the "i" in French was pronounced like the English "e" and the second "e" stayed an "e". Therefore the English name would be Pee. My family name evolved to Pees with one family changing it to Pease and another branch keeping the original PIE spelling. There is indication that earlier ancestors had come up out of Italy in the 13th century but, so far, no documentation to support that.

My immigrant ancestor was Jacques Joseph PIE from Courfaivre, Switzerland. If anyone is interested in this line or has information to share I will be happy to hear from you.

I guess we're cousins of some kind. My gr-gr-grandfather was Jacob Pee, who married Sarah Lauderbaugh. They lived near Mattie, in East Providence Twp., Bedford Co., PA. Their daughter Elizabeth (Lizzie) married Baltzer Snyder of Monroe Twp., same county and state. Baltzer and Lizzie's daughter Sarah Ethel Snyder married Lester Fletcher. Their son Richard Fletcher was my father.

Let me know how we're tied in. By the way, we've always been told that Andrew Pee and his parents came from Normandy, or somewhere in northern France, and that their original name was Peay. Any input?

My great grandmother was Cecelia Rebecca Pee (1855 - 1937), dau of George Christopher and Mary Elizabeth mason Pee. Cecelia was one of 12 children (Emily Jane, Doctor Franklin, Nancy Elizabeth, Rebecca, James Reubin, Sarah Amanda, John Newton, Martha, Ella, George, Joseph Johnson, Eddie Matilda). Rebecca is buried in Carson Ridge cemetery. Some of the others are in Berea or Liberty Chapel, McCord, Shady Grove in Attala County and some in Texas,

Do you tie into this branch of the Pees?

Cecelia Rebecca Pee (1855 - 1937) Sarah Amanda Pee (1860 - 1939) were sisters. Here is the limited info I have on Sarah.

Nickname may have been "Sallie" or "Mollie"
Born Feb 4, 1860 in MS
Died May 5, 1939 in Attala Co., MS
Buried along side of husband at Shady Grive cem, Attala Co

Married George W. Lord (date unknown)
Born. Jan 20, 1850
Died May 4, 1919

I am aware of only one child, George Newton Lord, who died Jan 9, 1895. Obviously they had more children but I do not have that information.

I know of another Pee Family researcher who has more info on the family than I do. If you contact me direct at tdavid628@aol.com, I can share her name rather than posting it on the general board.

I would appreciate any info you have on Sarah's family and on Rebecca herself.
