My wife's grandfather was Marcel Pelletier of Petit Rocher NB. His wife was Luce Doucet. The 1901 census documents part of the family. I am interested in exploring the family and would appreciate any information anyone might have of this family. There were reportedly 14 children from this union and Elizabeth Marie Pelletier was my wife's mother. Thank you for reading this and any information that you might be able to supply. Keith.

Joseph Pelletier (Peltier)

My family lineage is Poitras-Parisien-Pelletier.
Biological grandparents are Zachery and Emily Poitras (nee Parisien, maternal great-grandparents are Jean Baptiste and LaRose Parisien (nee Pelletier. I believe my gr-gr grandfather to be Joseph Pelletier & ? XX Short but cannot find many records showing anything on them. From what I can see JB Parisien & Larose came back to Canada from the Dakotas so it may be that her family history originated in that area. I've been told she was of Lakota blood...so far we have French/Metis/Cree/Lakota and Algonquin...oh and a little Scot too from the Short side. I have Poitras back to Andre (1610) & his unknown Indian spouse. On the Parisien side I have JB Parisien (1712) & Louise Bercier. Can anyone help me fill in the Pelletier side of my biological family?
Hi,
I found this post with info on the Pelletier line... I have followed Eloi to Guillame down to my family lines. Obviously my question is regarding Native ties, and if their is anyone out there with knowledge of them in this line... I have roughly a dozen, Pelletiers the farthest back being Eloi and the most current being Marie-Anne in 1697 Kamarouska, m. Ignace St. Pierre... if you or anyone have info regrding Native links to the Pelletier line, especially this one I would really love to discuss it with you... I am trying different family lines in search of my NA ties, My family has been in Canada for over 300 years, I can't believe there are none at all out there... I don't really think their is much I can do with the info, I just want to know for me...

Christina A. PELLETIER & husband Manuel LEWIS, Providence, RI 1919-1964

I am trying to discover if Christina A(probably Anne/Anna)Lewis nee PELLETIER, daughter of Tancrede and Celina PELLETIER of Providence, had any children.

Christina married Manuel C. LEWIS 11 June 1919. They seem to have lived on Hill St. in Providence until around 1923 when the Providence City Directories show them at 180 Potter's Ave. in Providence. Later directories indicate that the LEWIS"es owned 180 Potter Ave.

Manuel LEWIS appears to have died between 1935 and 1938, burial location unknown.

Beginning in the 1938 directory, Christina's bachelor brother, Levi J. PELLETIER, begins to live with her up until his death in 1963.

In the Ancestry databases, I have found one infant death for Christina. Raymond LEWIS d. 13 Feb 1923, aged 5 months.

I can't find Manuel and Christina on the 1930 federal census for Providence, RI although I know they were there because Manuel is listed in the Providence City Directory for 1930 at 180 Potter's Ave.

Does anyone know if Manuel and Christina had other children?

Does anyone know who Manuel's parents were? Manuel is shown as being born in RI.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Jean-Baptiste Pelletier & Thais Coulong; Clinton County New York

These were my 3rd Great Grandparents; mentioned extensively within the records of the Assumption of Mary Catholic Church in Redford, New York. I have located them in the 1850, 1860, 1870, & 1880 census records, with various spellings of Pelletier (Pelca, Pelkey, etc)

His date of death was May 2, 1889 and hers was December 10, 1910 according to the church records; however, I cannot find their ancestors due to the fact that everywhere I find them, their age(s) are so far off from all other sources that its been impossible to calculate a year of birth, much less a location. On census records, he claims to have been born in Canada (but where...??) and she claims to have been born in New York (again, where...???).

They had 7 children, as far as can be found:

John b:1850
Magdaline b:1851
Joseph Oliver b:1853
Olive b: 1854
Julia b:1856
Marguerite b:1860 (my ancestor)
Charles b:1869

Not a clue, but hopeful that someone will see this and have anything to offer. After five years of searching and posting, I dont hold out much of that hope...but I suppose there is no harm in continuing to try, is there?

Thanks in advance for any assistance!

Lynda Fette-Enderle
lynender@aol.com

I am seeking information on Betsey Louise Pelkey, who was born abt. 1851 in Sherbrooke, PQ. I'm taking an educated guess that her surname could have been Pelletier at one time. She married Napoleon Root (b. 25 Mar 1828 in St. Hyacinth, PQ) and they made their home in Westfield, Vermont. After Napoleon's death in 1908, Betsey may have eventually moved to Mass. They had at least one child, Henry Louis Root, born 13 Aug 1869 in Troy, Vermont. Info on Napoleon Root is also being sought. Thank you.

Angelique CASAVANT).

Cordelie married Joseph Francois FORTIER 25 Jul 1869 in the USA.

Cordelie's marriage and death certificate only say "JOHN" for father and "SOPHIE" for mother. She belongs to SOMEONE! I am hoping she's a losse string in anyone else's family tree as well.

Please help! Thank you!

Israel Pelletier

Hello, I just started researching my mother in laws family history. Her father was Jules Pelletier married to Omerille St Amant, April 20, 1909, St. Damase. Jules' parents were Israel Pelletier & Marie Chamard of St. Jean Port Jolie. After perusing the message boards, I gather this family line has been traced back to France. Could someone clue me in to Israel's lineage? Thanks you much for all your help. I'm accustomed to Irish research for which there aren't very good records.
Thanks,
Cheryl

Bonjour!
Elisabeth Dionne

, Here is information I have about my family. If this matches anyones, please let me know and I'd love to exchange ninformation. Regards.

My grandfather, Frank Pelletier's parents were Jean Baptiste Pelletier born in either 1861 or 1866 in St. Jerome, Mantane Co., Rimouski, Quebec. As a young man he made his way to the North Shore of lake Superior and married in 1884 to Marie Anne Desmoulin born in 1867 a native girl who's parents were Isadore Desmoulin and Betsie Motigwash. When Jean Baptiste drowned at the mouth of the Pic River on Nov. 23, 1886 they already had 2 children. Marie Anne then married Andre Gallant in 1889 and when he died she married Peter Bannon in 1892.

Jean Baptiste's parents were Jean Baptiste Pelletier and Locade Desjardins, born 1840's?. I have no more on them at all other than they were married in St. Jerome, Matane Co., Rimouski, Quebec.

Blanche (AKA Diane) b. abt 1921

I am looking for information on a specific family of Pelletier's. They are my mother's family and since I never knew her I would greatly like some background. I have a limited amount of information which I am not entirely sure is correct-but here it is.
My mother went by the name of Diane, but it shows Blanche on my birth certificate. I was born in1947 and it says she was 26 when I was born. She supposedly had another child.
Her family possibly lived in Outremont PQ or Ontario, her father may have been a civil engineer. She also lived in Ontario, over the years I have heard various stories, which include she was women's speedskating champion in Ontario, and the other that she was a dancer, possibly in a nightclub.
She had siblings, two of which may have had the names Lucille and Marie, I have also heard the name Millie, but am not sure who that is (mother or sister?).
She was apparently married to my father Richard or Nicolas Phillips, was also called Dick.
They lived in Toronto on Dundas Street in 1947 and I was born in Women's College Hospital.
After leaving me at my grandparent's in Edmonton when I was six months old, they both disappeared. Except for one post card from Kenora Ontarion dated in 1949..
I would be most grateful is someone could give me some background on this family.
Thank you

Pelletier-Ascendance of William The Conmqueror

We are descendants of William The conquerer. I have read a lot about the subject, and found a few of his genealigique descendance. My tree goes up to Eloy Pelletier m.Francoise Matte about 1697 and after that it seems there are no other ascendance that we can find, except for Mr. and Mrs Pelletier m. about 1568. My question is how does one go about ascending to William. I guess in my case it cannot be done. I would be very interested in finding how or who could do this work for me, and at what cost.
Thanking you for any suggestion, it would be greatly appreciated.

They had Peter Himinigilde/Migil bd:May 1850 Canada and dd:Jul 1931 Deer Creek, Outagamie WI and Louis. She has done a pretty good job with the descendants, but got stuck going back. If any of this sounds familiar, I'd appreciate hearing from you. I have checked the Pelletier Genealogy Home Page, but don't know which line would be the right one.
Thanks for any help provided,
Chloie Luckow

Joseph Pelletier, b. 1856, Burlington Vt.

Gr-grandfather was Joseph Pelletier (Pelkey, Pilkey) born ca. 1856 Burlington Vt. according to Marriage licience. 2nd marriage was to Margaret Flood Keefe. Married Feb. 5, 1884 in Burlington.
He gives father's name as Louis Pelletier, and mother's as Elizabeth Winch Pelletier. He eventually moves to Chicago where he marries atleast one more time before dying on May 3, 1909. Buried in Oak Woods Cem., Chicago,Ill.
According to 1880 Vt. census he was then married to a Catherine with children Mary age 2, and Joseph J. age 1 month. Can anyone connect me with one of the Pelletier lines? Which line does Louis come from? He seems to have disappeared. He could possibly be from Clinton Co. or Essex Co. N.Y. His wife's maiden name is prevalant in those counties as are the Pelletier's and Pelkey's. Thanks.

I need to know if Octavie Pelletier (my great grandmother) is buried in that area.
Thank you,
Cheryl
Cheri926@aol.com
