I have in my possession a large collection of photographs that are labeled "Pellowes" One of them is of a grave of above referenced person and the inscription references HMS Goliath. I have no idea who this family is or how they are connected to my Niess family in Washington DC. They were in my great-grandfather's trunk and I inherited the bunch.
