In a book about the PEMBER family which can be found in Family Histories at Ancestry.com the author warns about confusing the name with PEMBLE. When writing about the PEMBLE's who lived in Saratoga Co., NY he lists Stephen PEMBLE, son of John, as the father of Elmer E. PEMBLE. This is incorrect. Elmer is the son of William (b.1837 Eng.) who is the son of Daniel (probably the son of John), who died in Saratoga Coinn 1841. Daniel's wife was Anna BREAKFIELD. Anna's sister Harriet was married to Stephen. Elmer Ellsworth PEMBLE's son R. Hilton PEMBLE died in St. Petersburg, FL this year at the age 101.
