Norma Pena, age 75, of Clovis, NM died Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis, NM. A rosary will be held at 6:00 PM, Friday, March 13, 2009 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Communion Service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 14, 2009 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Deacon Daniel Chavez officiating. Burial will follow in Mission Garden of Memories. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Carlos Pena, Leonardo Pena, Fernando Pena, Marcos Pena, Antonio Pena, Jacob Pena, Jesus Pena, Jessica N. Pena, and Scott Ranson.

Norma was born July 24, 1933 to Luis and Melissia (Martinez) Ortiz in Villanueva, NM. She married Manuel Pena November 8, 1958 in Villanueva, NM. She was a homemaker, member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church where she sang in the choir. She was also a member of St. Rita Society, Legion of Mary, Altar Society, Cursillo, and marriage enrichment. Her church, bingo, and her family were her life.

She is survived by her husband, Manuel of the home; three sons, Ernest (Sylvia) Pena of San Antonio, TX, Antonio (Valerie) Pena of Clovis, NM, and Leonard (Lori) Pena of Espanola, NM; two sisters, Carmen Romero of Clovis, NM and Adelaida Vigil of Villanueva, NM; eight grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Michael Ortiz and Luis Ortiz Jr.; three sisters, Irene Salinas, Vina Gonzalez, and Melinda Gonzalez; and grandson, Michael Anthony Pena.
