My branch of the Pendleton line tends to be a bit complicated as it seems that I am descendant of 2 brothers or cousins....which filters down to my great grandfather Joseph Morse Pendleton b 1888 Boston MA who married Pearl Peterson in 1907 and my grandmother Annie Florence Pendleton was born a year later in June 1908. I would love to learn more about your branch and how it relates to mine.

I am looking for specifically any information to this Joseph Pendleton's 2nd wife first name Lottie..nothing else is known..they had a son Kenneth when Joseph was about late 60's family story is they both drowned in boating accident in Suffolk County Long Island NY when he was 70 and Kenneth was 3 years old..if any one has anything on this please contact me asap! Major Brian Pendleton was NOT born in Sudbury, Mass

Hello.

It seems that Major Brian Pendleton (b 1599, d 1681) could NOT have been born in Sudbury, Middlesex, Massachusetts in 1599.

I corresponded with the library in Sudbury and they indicated to me that Sudbury did not exist in 1599. This is a quote from on official of the Goodenow Library: "You are correct—there was no Sudbury in 1599."

So I was wondering if anyone out there has any documentation indicating where he was born? Perhaps in England?

Major Brian's father, Edward, apparently was born and died in England...which makes Brian's having been born in New England improbable because most of the time once you got over to the colonies, you tended to stay over here.

There are puzzle pieces that don't really fit together. I'm hoping someone has a solution. :-)

Doctin Hewey and Mary Caroline Pendleton are my gr grandparents also. I believe his parents were John Willis Pendleton (9-29-1842) and Matilda K. (Burrow) Pendleton (1-22-1844. They were married in Lawrence Co, MO (11-1-1863).

My name is Diana. I live in California, San Luis Obispo area.
You would actually be a cousin to my children. It's my Ex-husband that was a Colt, that married a Pendleton. I have 5 children (mixed marriage) and decided last year to do an album and heritage for each once; henceforth searching my childrens fathers family. It's been quite an experience since I was married twice and my 2nd husband was married twice. BUT SOOO MUCH FUN.
We are actually having a "mini" family reunion next week and I will be giving them their books.

From Brian to William Sr. it looks like we follow the same line. According to my research, William was married twice. His first wife was Lydia Burrows (mother of your Amos, Peleg and Ephraim) This second wife was Mary McDowell, mother to Nathan Pendleton (1754-1841) My line comes down from Nathan.

Joseph Pendleton that married Hannah Stanton was my 4th gr grandfather. He was born in Westerly, RI and died in the Westville section of New Haven CT. They had 10 children. The oldest son, Job Stanton Pendleton (he dropped the Job)was an innkeeper/hotelier in New Haven and Brooklyn, NY. He was also the US Marshall and jailer in New Haven during the "Armisted" controversy and trial.
Job Stanton married 2 Stanton sisters for Richmond, MA: Harriet Ruth and Lucy Ann. I could go on, but it would be better if I knew what/who else you're looking for

Not much help, but I looked through what stuff I have and the only thing that seems remotely close to what you are looking for are notes taken from Sarah E. Gaskins to Wilma Cartwright in Pasquotank County, North Carolina somewhere between 1940-s - 1960's.

Lurry Pendleton the son of Malachi Pendleton and Mary his wife was born 19 September 1846.

William Jackson and Mary Pendleton were married 9 June 1850.

Well, glad you found them. Now, I have a photo of a Penny Pendleton circa mid 40's. If it the same Penny Pendleton, this would have been when she was a WAC in the US Army stationed at Ft Knox, KY. Leary Pendleton married Martha Jackson before 1870 in Paquotank County. They had a daughter Mary Pendleton, born 8 Aug 1870. She married James Cooper in 1889.

Mary Pendleton was related to a Benjamin Pendleton of Pasquotank County. He might have been her brother or her uncle.

Any information about the Pendletons or the Jacksons, if related, would be much appreciated!

This Evan Pendleton is my 4th Great Grandfather. He was born on June 22 1817 in Farnworth, Lancashire and was married to Mary Halsall on Nov 3 1839 ( I have a copy of the marriage cert). They had 4 children James Pendleton b1846, Elizabeth Pendleton b1841, Mary Pendleton b1843 and John Pendleton b1848.

Evan Fathers name was also Evan Pendleton married to Margaret Eand? on Dec 26 1808.

Eventually a Pendleton married a Lyon who married a Beesley and that is my Mother's maiden name.

Please reply back on who this might be, we may already know each other!

James Pendleton - North Carolina

I am trying to find information on a James Pendleton who lived in Mecklenburg County or Union County NC around 1911. He had a son with Martha Helms (may or may not have been married) named Oscar. Oscar's middle name was Harry and he was born in February 1912. The 1920 Census shows Martha and Oscar with the last name Pendleton. Sometime before 1930 they changed both of their last names back to Helms. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi. I bought a book that will blow your mind. I bought a book titled "The Descendants of Phillip Pendleton". The book is a Family Tree from Phillip Pendleton and his wife, Isabella Hurt, to my father Jack. It is good. It cost $50 PLUS $7 S&H. I found it on Google. You have put the title in the space. Its worth the money.
