I am pulling my hair out here. My great great grandmother Mary Ann Boucher Dupree married John L. Pendley in 1894 in Texas. They had 3 daughters Annie, Maude and Velora. There is another daughter somwhere named Ethel. I have a picture of Grandma Pendley( Mary Ann), her daughter Rosie ( my great grandmother) and Ethel. Rosie is about 8 in the picture and Ethel is at least 18 yrs old. I have a letter written by Grandma Pendley referring to Ethel as her daughter and John L. Pendley as "your papa". Now here is the thing I cant figure out.....Ethel has to be Grandpa Pendley's daughter by another marriage. That is the only place she can fit in. Does anyone have anything on John L. Pendley? If anyone has any information on this line of the Pendley's please please let me hear from you. John L. Pendley is the son of Joel Compton Pendley and Martha Ross.
