but it has William married to Fanny Dixon not Daniel Guy. Perhaps you can clarify the situation. My ancestral link is from Louisa Penford 1877 my great grandmther brother to William.

Hello Anita; greetings from Canada!
I have just discovered that my 2nd Gt Grandfather was Isaac Penford who was born in Eling , Hampshire in 1803. I would really like to find out more about the Penfords, both before and after 1803! Do you have much information about the Penfords in Hampshire? They appear to have been farmers. Hope to hear from you soon. Tony

I have just found that my 2nd gt grandfather was born Isaac Penford in Eling (New Forest area) Hampshire in 1803. I imagine that your Penfords are related in some way as Reading is not too far from the New Forest. I'd like to make contact and exchange information.

you had a reply from roger blassberg about the penfords in reading england I am part of that family my dad is martin leslie penford bd 26 aug 1948, with a brother nigel aurbry penford born 4 oct 1946 their fater was aurby leslie penford born 5 may 1913 and born in reading, his mother was sarah penford but we have not got a date of birth (none of us was there for that) if you look on the 1901 uk cenus wou will find her on that as well as my great uncle tom (11mths) hope this of help please contact me with any news on email @ wingnu51@ntlworld.com

Penford in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire here. My Great Grandfather (Daniel Guy Penford) married Fanny Dixon and he died from Tuburculosis during ww2 i think. They had several children (now all deceased) . I am not certain of any children they may have had, only some names from the little information that my Grandmother knows and has told me about. Their children are as follows:
Jenny (adopted),
Dinah,
Ray (d. 2002),
Rex,
Peter,
Michael
William Henry Guy (my grandfather b. 1921 d.1997) married Gertrude Elizabeth Jeffrey (my grandmother b. 1920 - present).
Their five children Marguerite, James, Eileen, Harry and Roy all co incide in the Mansfield and Nottingham area today.

My mother's family name was Penford, eldest of 3 children of Thomas Henry Penford born 1901 or 1902, and Violet May (nee Pottinger), of Reading Berkshire. My mother's name was Beryl Audrey May, born 19.Dec 1928, in Reading died 19 November 1984. Her brother Dennis was born in 1932 I think, and her sister Irene in about 1925, both alive still.
Thomas Henry had many brothers and sisters, some of whom emigrated to Canada (sister Edie??)and Australia(sister Nora??). Still lots of Penfords in Reading.
Happy to cooperate in "growing" a family tree.
